Deceptive Billing, Unnecessary Blood Tests, and Public Humiliation…read more I scheduled my appointment through the clinic's website, which clearly stated the $300 fee included both the medical exam and completion of Form I-693. When I arrived, the receptionist confirmed this. Even the doctor told me--without me even asking--that the $300 covered both the appointment and the documentation. He said a blood test might be an additional charge and necessary to complete my I-693 which I agreed. I had already provided proof of all required vaccinations, and blood test that I got in another clinic and my insurance paid for it, so there was no medical reason to run any tests. Still, they mentioned one specific blood test, but then performed a different one that I did not need. When I returned to receive my results, I was suddenly told I had to pay another $300 to complete the documentation(form I-693) completely contradicting what both the website and staff had previously confirmed. When I questioned it, the receptionist began yelling at me in front of the entire waiting room and refused to finalize my paperwork unless I paid again. It was deeply unprofessional and humiliating. After leaving, I called the clinic to clarify. They told me the website was "wrong," and that the true cost was $300 for the exam and another $300 for the form (I-693) something never disclosed at any point. I requested a detailed, itemized bill showing the charges for both the appointment and filling the form but they refused. All they offered was a basic credit card receipt. When I finally received a billing summary, through email they cc two more people who could see all my bill and personal information, however they didn't disclose the charges and instead just sent me a total of due without specific information, so i had to request a disclosed bill and when I got it,they were charging me for hepatitis b, varicella and MMR titer and i had the vaccines for all these (I gave them my vaccine record including vaccines for these diseases so not blood test was necessary) This clinic is dishonest, lacks transparency, and operates unethically. They performed unnecessary medical procedures, changed prices after the fact, refused to provide proper billing, and publicly humiliated me. I strongly urge others to avoid this place at all costs

He typically responds within the hour. Staff is super friendly. Whether your visit is in person or virtual, it's never rushed. He keeps things light, which always makes you feel comfortable sharing with him. Are you looking for a doctor to push prescriptions or not ask the hard questions? Wrong guy. He balances Western medicine with a whole body approach from diet, exercise, and over the counter natural treatments. We always end our conversations with a big smile. Love this guy and his staff! Not only did he have absolutely no memory of who I was - could have at least read my chart to see why I was there - but he questioned me about a medication I've been on for YEARS and that I should consider getting off of and, catch this, SMOKE Ayahuasca instead! Not just smoke, but do so on the ROOFTOP OF THE OFFICE AFTER HOURS with HIM and a 'small group of others' who meet up weekly. Are you serious? While I didn't feel Dr. Joudeh was coming onto me in a sexual way, what medical professional offers this as an option to any patient at a routine physical exam? Listen, I'm not an expert, but I sure as heck know that smoking 'Ayahuasca' isn't possible and that lacing something with synthetic DMT probably isn't a solid alternative. Also, the staff has really gone downhill. No one calls anymore to refill my script, give blood work details or test results. Every time my script is refilled it's always the wrong medicine - EVERY TIME. I have to call and change it. They charge my insurance for services I've never had. I have notified my insurance company as it feels like fraud. Testing my blood for HIV and STDs yearly is also something I ASKED them them NOT to do, but of course, every time, they do it. Also, I have a gyno that handles any sex-life issues, tests, and questions. My personal information isn't just YOURS TO TAKE because I'm having my blood drawn. I'm still IN CHARGE of what tests I want performed, or so I thought. I was basically lied to. Second, things are not nearly as clean as they used be. I was nervous about having my blood drawn. There were three other nurses in the tiny room at the same time, all chatting and busy, while one just kinda took out a needle and wanted to get started. No masks, no gloves (which was the worst offense). I literally had to ask the nurse to 'please focus' as I want to make sure you have your shit together before you start putting needles in my arm. My uncle passed away from staff infection he obtained during a routine blood test - I was nervous. Nothing about this office is worth returning too. They used to be the BEST. Sad. Firstly, I went in and was actually listened to rather than having the Dr wait for me to stop talking. He never interrupted me and let me interrupt him, when I did so accidentally. I regularly feel Dr's don't listen to me. Sure, their training is in medicine and they are the experts, but I am certainly the expert at what I am experiencing. If I feel regularly shut down as a man, I can only imagine how women are made to feel with most doctors. So this first off was an excellent sign. Secondly, he was friendly, upbeat and polite. That's not necessary but a nice touch. On to the checkup. He was methodical. He told me exactly what he was doing. When I told him I thought my BP was a little high on his machine, rather than ignoring me he did a second check to ensure it was correct. He was knowledgeable about my ailments, my medications and I didn't get the feeling he was just trying to rush me out the door to increase his turnover cash. This guy is aces in my books and I changed my primary care physician to him today. I'm angry I didn't find a doctor like him sooner. I've only seen him once and his businessman paraphernalia is a little disconcerting. I like money too but it makes me uneasy. I had to sign a form saying I am responsible for the full final cost. Most doctors I've seen will charge a high amount for the insurance and "forgive" the rest. Gotta say that makes me uneasy as well.
