We got boba and one of each available cupcake to sample for my friend's wedding this fall…read more The tapioca pearls in the boba were the worst I've ever had. I saw them sitting out on the counter and didn't know that was an issue till I looked it up later. They are apparently not supposed to sit out at all. No wonder they tasted so weird. The matcha powder was not good quality either. We tried the chocolate, german chocolate, lemon, birthday cake, strawberry, and black forest cupcakes. The cupcakes were very underwhelming for a professional bakery. Some of the cake was clearly from a box and very dry. The buttercream wasn't very good and wasn't consistent across cakes. Some were grainy and others had a waxy texture. Some, if not all, of the filling was definitely out of a jar or store bought, especially the cherry filling in the black forest. The filling was also very minimal. The communication was also very concerning and scared us away from considering them for an event as important as a wedding. We attempted to email and submitted an info request but got no response at all. We had to call on two seperate occasions to get someone on the phone and when we did the person clearly did not know enough about the bakery itself to help get us information. Would not recommend at all.

This place was great! So great, we went twice in one day…read more We came right at openings for breakfast and the clean, bright space and fun menu made us optimistic. I had the Holla Tots -- tater tots with ham, bacon, egg, and hollandaise. Delicious! I also ordered a Mangonada Mimosa which was so fun. We ended up coming back for lunch where I shared the turkey club and a BLT. It was packed at lunch but somehow still easy to find a spot to sit. This place has food and drink options to suit a lot of tastes, great staff, and plenty of seating in a cute space. The attention to detail is clear from the fun food and drink names to the decor (especially the bathroom) and the 3 or 4 kinds of ketchup. I wish they had one near me!

From the cake tasting to the big day, you can see the love and pride this family has in their business. We ordered cupcakes for our guests, and they were a huge hit! They were so delicious that my wife and I didn't get to taste every flavor--we actually ran out by the end of the night. All of our friends and family loved that they could choose their own cupcake flavors. Maureen also helped us decorate our dessert table, which made everything so much easier for us! Thank you, Kendra and Maureen, for the delicious cupcakes and all the love you put into our wedding. You both are the best, and we look forward to ordering more cupcakes to enjoy in the future!

My favorite was the Swizzle. I squirted the lime that came with it onto the cookie and it was deliciously tangy, my favorite cookie so far of any place. All the cookies are SOFT. We ordered a classic chocolate chip, sprinkle, & fruity pebbles. All were so wonderfully perfect. I loved the frosting, especially on the sprinkle one. Looking forward to coming back for a box when we visit Pinetop again!

"The ultimate destination for those who crave extraordinary treats!" as claimed by Twisted Sugar…read more You'll never be disappointed when your sweet tooth is craving for something sweet. Twisted Sugar's cookies are not just soft and chewy but also bursting with flavors. I heard about Twisted Sugar from a colleague and decided to give it a try. They have so many different cookie flavors to choose from. They offer fancy gourmet cookies, tasty mixed sodas, and delicious ice cream twisters. When I went there, I picked up a box of assorted cookie flavors: Mint Madness, Cookies and Cream, Twisted, Swizzle, Crinkle, and Salted Caramel. They even have a special "cookie of the month." The staff at the counter were really helpful in recommending their best sellers, and they also have gluten-free options. The shop is cutely decorated and has a cool vibe. There's a fun twist when you buy. They have a basketball ring where you get three tries to shoot the ball. Each successful shot earns you a free cookie or drink. There were some high school kids trying their luck, and one boy was really lucky that day. Twisted Sugar started in Utah and has expanded to different states. They also have other six locations here in Arizona. They also offer franchise opportunities. It was a nice treat, and I enjoyed every bite of their delicious cookies. I'll surely be back to try their twisted sodas and ice cream.

I love the coconut the most so far. My husband loves the creamsicle. Definitely cannot wait to try more of the flavors she makes next. I always love to try new bakers and see how everything is and see what inspires me myself to create something. Ruby and her mom are so genuinely nice and I love supporting small businesses like these. Cannot wait for the next pop up at either a coffee shop or farmers market to try more treats. I always hope that small businesses like these are able to grow enough to where they can open their own shop someday. Keep baking ruby!
