Has a very chill and relaxing vibe and has potential to be a great place to go to but the staff is awful. The older ladies running it are condescending and treat you like a child if things are not going how they please. Let me list all of our issues. 1. We got fussed at for pouring our paint on our pallet and not immediately shutting the top even though my friend was about to use the same bottle so there was not a reason to shut it. 2. God forbid DON'T shake the paint bottle to get the paint out 3. You have to keep the paint bottles on the back paint wall, that's understandable but when I was back there pouring my paint I needed an employee because I needed the rag that you use to remove paint from your pallet replaced because it was filthy. As I was explaining that I needed a clean one I took like 3 steps away from the paint wall with a paint bottle in my hand while I talked to her and she freaked out on me. Started rambling on about how now "people have put paint in the wrong section because you walked away with it"like peoples inability to read numbers and match is my fault but anywho that whole situation took over so she ignored the need of a new clean wet rag to clean the stores pallets. 4. I'll save the rest for your imagination because WOAH After leaving I spoke with a few other friends that said they have had the same horrible experience and it's all coming from the owners. We go to these places for a nice relaxing time not to witness a temper tantrum from old ladies who have clearly huffed one too many paint bottles. read more

First, let me say, when I was a Junior in HS, helping out at a paint-your-own pottery studio was my first job. I loved helping people and seeing little creative minds come alive when they sat down to paint. It was so easy! Just be kind and paint. NOT AT THIS PLACE. The woman who runs it cares more about her cats than service. We waited to be helped while she brushed her cat on the counter, all while berating the young teenager that worked there. She was insistent on us following HER formula for success. She patronized us about how we were doing it wrong! Nevermind that I went to ART SCHOOL and am a professional artist...I was just there to let my 4 yr. old paint a father's day gift. There was a group in the back that had several small children, and at one point, they children began arguing - typical for 3 year olds. The owner snatched their pottery away and told them they couldn't act that way in HER store! I suspect she doesn't have kids. Prices are a bit high, and that owner needs an attitude adjustment. read more

This place is a JOKE! The lady who runs the place is VERY RUDE. My G-Daughter had a Birthday party and one of the little girls ask her Mom to help her with her piece of pottery and the lady that runs or owns the place freaked out on her and told her this was for the kids and to put the paint brush down NOW. As my daughter-N-law was paying she was informed that the hand painted tattoos that they painted on the children's hands were and extra $1.00 a piece but nobody ever asked if she even wanted that. They just did it on their own. The party was WAY over priced. A $25 deposit was put down to hold the spot but the $25 didn't go towards the price of the party. Craziest thing I hAve ever heard of. $159 for 8 kids and $15 a child after that. There was 16 kids so it cost $280!!! This was our first visit here. The place was a zoo, there were so many kids running around and a birthday party going on in the back. There were not enough employees to help all the people. We walked in and started looking around (not our first time at a pottery studio). I finally stopped a woman and asked her what their procedures were. "Pick out a piece and price is on the bottom and then you get your paint" Normal scenario. We picked out a piece for my stepson (3) and sat down. I went to the paint wall and asked another employee, "Do we just pick out our paint?" This studio was different than most places I have been, but again no big deal. They have you put your paint into a small 6 pot easel. The girl said she would help me and then walked off. After about 10 min, I proceeded to get my own paints for my son and let him get started. We had no guidance, were never offered help. After he finished painting, I went up to the register to pay. The girl told me she would get my ticket. What ticket? She asked how I got my paint, told her I got it myself. After I paid, I told them I wanted to take my piece with me. (Did not know when we would be back to Flowood, as we live out of town) (also we have a pottery studio back home that I frequent a lot and was taking it there to get it glazed and fired) The girl freaked out on me, after I explained what I was doing, she was still freaking out about it. Finally paid and as I am walking about the door another employee stopped me and told me I couldn't take my piece with me. She was freaking out too. Told her I had paid and again explained the situation to her. You would have thought I was trying to rob the place. That was the most attention we had received the entire time we had been there. The atmosphere was terrible, the customer service was awful, there were not enough employees for the amount of people needing help and the staff was downright rude and snobby. The 2 women running this store are snobby and speak condescendingly to you. They were critical of my putting the washrag (meant to wipe paint off my hands) under my ceramic instead. Why does it matter if that's what I want to do? They wouldn't give our toddler a piece of paper to paint on while he waited for his older siblings to finish what they were painting. Again, why not? They made this into a very stressful experience when it should've been enjoyable. So if you enjoy being patronized and spoken to as if you're a child then having them scold your own children, then please visit this place. We will be going elsewhere next time. read more
