This is the worst damn place to ever go for anything, every time I come here even with an appointment (and trust me I wish I could go somewhere else but I can't bc of factors I'm not going to say I have to come here),I check in and then they put me in a room for 1-2 hrs just for the doctor to finally come in and speak to me for maybe 5 minutes and I had to sit and wait while all the so called "doctors" are talking and laughing outside the room talking about dumb stuff like oh what are y'all doing when you get off work or what are yall going to do this weekend. And don't even get me started on how out of all the times I've been here I've never gotten the same doctor and none of them read my reports so I have to tell them the whole injury again and only 2 of the doctors actually looked at my injury and actually try to help me all the other ones would just ask me question that would have nothin to do with my injury and just say well come back in 2 weeks. This place is a damn joke and so is everyone that works here read more

Sometimes FastMed and other Urgent Cares get really bad reviews. I want to take the time to give FastMed in Rocky Mount a great review!! We live about 40 minutes away but ALL of the Urgent Cares were closed in our area due to the snow. I called this FastMed and they were very pleasant on the phone. When we got there they immediately started helping us and even with an X-Ray we were only there about 45 minutes from start to finish! They were ALL very helpful and friendly to us and after we got home they called us and gave us even more information. We highly recommend this FastMed! read more

Took my grandson in today, no appointment. They had limited staff the day after Christmas and were turning people without appointments away. I told the lady behind the counter my 5 year old grandson needed to see a doctor. One hour later he had been seen, tested and a case of the flu later on our way home. Could not have been nicer. run away from this place. The PA is more interested in stroking his ego than trying to fulfill the name of the business he works. On Monday, i went to get a tetanus shot and to have my wound cleaned, but only got 3 hours of Kungfu Panda in the waiting room, then told to transfer to the other clinic, where all I got was a good soak in cold water and a lecture from the PA that they were faster than others. Well, I left with my wound bleeding again and treated it at home with liquid skin. Then went to CVS and got a walk in tetanus shot. will never go back to this Clown Show of zero service. Horrible customer service Lady didn't check daughter in right away state she see if PA write Prescription since she was seem less that 5 days ago and she haven't gotten better. Than call her back to desk to checks her in several minutes later which cause her wait additional hours to be seen. Several people came in after her was seen before her. The waiting room cleared before she was seen. I than went to front desk ask what's going on with her being seen since several people was seen and released that came after her Lady looked dumb turn to PA assistment say there a 2 hrs wait to be seen well when we first came wait time was less than hr when we first got there and the pulled ppl to back that came way after we got there. If the provider would have gave proper medication the first time there would not have been need come back to get Upper respiratory infection medication. And have charge another 80 copay less than 5 days pure rip off. read more

I took my 12 year old to Fast Med in Rocky Mount, NC and I have to say it was the absolute best service I have ever received at an Urgent Care. She got into some poison ivy during the week and was progressively getting worse so I took her in Sunday with the hopes of them giving her a steroid shot. Needless to say, we walked in as a first time patient and completed some paperwork. One of the questions asked if there were any siblings to the patient being seen and if they had any ailments. It just so happened that I have a younger daughter that was diagnosed with JIA a couple years earlier. Dr. S Daniel is who we ended up seeing and when reading through the paperwork he said "You have another child with JIA?" My response of course was "yes" and asked if he could meet her as he has only been able to read about stories such as hers. After treating the poison ivy, I came home to tell my youngest about our visit and how Dr. Daniel wanted to meet her. She was just as excited to meet him so back to Fast Med we go. When we arrived back Dr. Daniel took a brief moment to meet her and told her what a pleasure it was to meet her and that he has only been able to read about stories such as hers. He also told her how proud he was of her that she undergoes so much treatment in order to find a cure so no more boys or girls experience her pain. Dr. Daniel took a moment out of his day to change the vision of a 7 year old with JIA. He not only showed professionalism, he was also compassionate, caring and sympathic for a patient that wasn't even his. In regards to the actual visit for the poison ivy, we were in and out of the office (completing paperwork, vital signs, diagnosis, medicine) within 45 minutes. Thanks again! Came here with the flu. Was seen much faster than I expected it would take. Went right back with the PA and got examined. In and out in under an hour with the rx for my meds. Will definitely be back next time I need medical attention. read more

I went on line 12-21-14 and did the zip pass and was told to be at fastmed on winstead ave at 9:45am. I was there over an hour and a half only to be told that because of my injury if I need an xray I would have to go to sunset office. I over heard the dr and one of the other employees talking about a comment that the sunset office made when they called to tell them they were sending over an elbow xray. They said that the other office wouldn't help me put the ace bandage on. If they put it on then the other office would take it off. That was very unprofessional. Then I went to the sunset office only to sit for another hour just to get an xray. If the two places are going to be open on the weekend I suggest they have at least 2 drs and a more pleasant stay. Not a very friendly staff. The winstead ave office was sending people to the sunset office because they felt they were not busy without checking with them and when I got to the sunset office it was very busy. Hopefully once the new wears off the experience will be bettee read more

Spent 3 hours trying to get what they call fast care and still waiting for my prescriptions. Would not recommend this place unless you have no choice and that includes the emergency room. I will not come back in here again. I rather wait another day or two or three if neacessary to make an appointment somewhere else. Sorry but it is what it is. read more

I went in because of chest pains. I explained the problem to the receptionist with the doctor sitting right behind her. Explained again to the nurse after I was brought into the back and again to the doctor when he came in the room. He ordered an EKG then comes into the room saying the EKG was normal gave me some aspirin and told me I needed to go to the hospital. It cost me $100 just to see the doctor to tell me to go to the hospital. When I asked why they just didn't tell me that in the first place he states he didn't know what my problem was. Wasted my time and my money. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They don't care about the patient they only care about the money. read more

I would highly recommend FastMed Urgent Care, Sunset Avenue to anyone. The staff at this location work wonderfully together as a team. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is very helpful and polite. The assistant in the back who helps take vital signs is great at putting kids at ease and getting the job done. We have also had great experiences with the Physician Assistant there who is very knowledgeable and efficient. read more
