I cannot say enough good things about Shamrock Automotive…read more B-Beckham is the last of good, honest, local business owners who always in my humble opinion, goes above and beyond. Recently, he spent several days personally working on my 84 Chevrolet C-10 truck attempting to get the front auto locking hubs working. He put in a lot of time and hours on his own, actually working on my truck. We eventually had to put manual hubs on it, but I still must commend the effort. I feel like he really helped me out and didn't charge but a fraction of what he could have charged. He has a good crew of technicians, and Ms. Bessie upfront is always cordial and very helpful.. One of the few places I take my vehicle, and our family vehicles, and have no concerns about it not being done right; Additionally, if he can't do it, he will tell you straight and honestly, he can't. But he will also help you find somewhere to get it fixed.

This is a family-owned place, and I always love to support local and family places…read more I was recommended this place by a colleague and read all the reviews online. They are exceptional! They tell you exactly what you need and nothing more. Their pricing is very competitive in that I believe it was fair and service was good. They provide you with a quote and breakdown via text message that leads to a website with price of parts and labor for each thing. You could even text their number, which was great. The main reason why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of communication. When I called about my car that was towed there, I asked about turnaround and expectations. Now, when I got there, they had a lot of cars in their lot. I definitely did not mind that it took longer than expected. I didn't call or check-in every day but I did try to get updates bc I needed to know if I needed to get a rental. I wasn't given turnaround time and with the games and events happening in Gainesville it got too late for me to get a rental. I honestly felt like they were purposefully not answering me or answering me at the end of the work day. I know I could've just gotten it but one of team members I know was truly trying to save me money by telling me to hold off on getting a rental until I heard from them. I ended up not getting a rental which was difficult with work. I ended up asking for some leniency at work and would bike (which was scary on Archer), but it was fine. I am very grateful and would definitely come here again but now I just have no expectations with regard to their communication.
