I was desperate on a Saturday afternoon when my usual urgent care had a 1.5hr wait - I quickly googled and found that FastER Urgent Care was only 5 minutes away. I am so glad that I did. I showed up and the receptionist put me in a room right away. She helped me fill out paperwork before I was seen by 3 different people. Someone took my vitals, then a student came in and then the PA, this did not slow down the process at all and I felt that my symptoms were properly noted and analyzed. They took a couple of rapid tests and a lab test that needed to be sent out. I was told that I would hear back if any of the cultures came back positive. I did hear back within 24 hours, the PA called me on a Sunday with my results and gave me care instructions. I appreciated the promptness and the personal call from the PA that saw me the day prior. I then received a second call the day after, on Monday, to review that my throat cultures all came back negative - the call was quick but it made me feel that they were doing a thorough job following up with me. I will be using this as my initial urgent care in the future (hopefully not too soon though!). read more

With so many PCPs being absorbed into huge practices and the copays in the ER going skyhigh we can see that the future of US healthcare will have an urgent care clinic frontline-- that's very depressing. read more

Upon arriving and completing my paperwork, I was brought into a room. Before going into the room I asked the receptionist about how long the wait was. She explained that she had no idea, which I later find out was very wrong. After waiting for about 45 minutes I went back to the front desk to ask about how much longer I would need to wait. I was met with attitude and a poor tone from the physician assistant. She explained that she was the only provider available. I completely understood and went back to the room to wait. After waiting for another 45 minutes I went back to the front desk to see how much longer I would have to wait. Again I was met with a poor attitude from the physician... she finally made it into my room and was unable to help me with a simple abscess on my neck. She referred me to my dermatologist. My Wife utilized this facility this past Friday for a UTI. They took a culture, prescribed an antibiotic gave her a COVID test and a hefty bill. All good so far. But when the culture results came back they found they had prescribed the wrong antibiotic. But instead of correcting that and just calling in the correct antibiotic the doctor (actually not even a doctor --the PA) decided that he had to drag a sick women back to the office so that they could ring the register on more time. This is America -I'm OK with making every cent the market can bear but when you have to facilitate unnecessary human suffering just to make that wallet a little fatter, I believe that's a bit disgusting. I recently went here on a Saturday for a covid test due to an upcoming surgery. The guy at the front desk couldn't have been less friendly and seemed to really hate his job. As I waited to be called in the girls in the back behind the glass divider at the front desk were loudly chatting away, cursing and discussing personal matters. I'm not sure if they realize that everyone in the waiting area can hear everything they say. One of the girls was on a personal call discussing her vacation plans ON SPEAKER. I'm not usually easily offended but I was taken back by the amount of times the F word was used in her conversation. The worst part was there were children in the waiting area. I really felt bad for the parents and if I were them I would have walked out. One more thing, please water your plants. Very strange having dead plants in an urgent care facility. read more

I came here for a covid test I needed. I was left a voice mail saying that I was positive. The person who left the voice mail on the phone was really unprofessional. The following day I called the office and was told that my name was misspelled. I went to another facility and I was negative. I truly believe they gave me the wrong results. Receptionist was nice , nurse was nice, But the nurse practitioner who saw me was aggressive, rude, condescending and disrespectful. She talked down to me as I explained my symptoms- like I don't know my body , how it is reacting / feeling vs the norm. She raised her voice and dismissed me. Be careful! They require paperwork authorizing them to charge the card you give them indefinitely! Visited the office and paid my 15$ copay on 8/28. They charged my card 155$ dollars on 9/28 with no notice! 170$ for a covid test that was required by my employer. Why wouldn't my employer provided health insurance cover a covid test they also required? When I called to ask, Dr. Gluckman was very rude!! He said I should "Blame the deadbeats that don't pay their bills" and that I would have been notified of the charge if I provided my email. He asked questions insinuating I was unable to read. He told me he doesn't care what my primary Dr. does and he doesn't have time to chase people to pay their bills. Extremely unprofessional, he spent 9 minutes on the phone raising his voice, insulting me and making insensitive comments. At the end of the phone call I was more upset than when I noticed the charge. Had I been notified of the insurance ERROR I would have handled it. His office denied me that opportunity they simply charged my debit card with no notice. At no time, did he offer any understanding or compassion which you might expect from a doctor! His attitude was disgusting. Go to an office that treats people like patients and not like walking money. I have never written a Yelp review before but its worth it to warn people about this office. Edited to respond to Dr. Gluckmans comment. 9 minutes on the phone, not an "enormous" amount of time considering you spent the entire time talking over me and reprimanding me as if I was a child. My 17 year old daughter and I went to get COVID PCR tests recently. We both submitted our drivers licenses and I added my insurance card and credit card after filling out paperwork. After 20 minutes or so we were administered the nasal swab tests and given some paperwork and ushered out the exit. Two days later my daughter realized she couldn't find her license. It was only then that I realized they never returned our 4 cards. I called to ask if they have it. After some time they said they had it. Confused, I asked why they didn't call to say they forgot to give it back to us. He said "we have so many cards, we're not going to call every single person back" What?!?! I am absolutely shocked with all the negative reviews here (especially during COVID). I received care from this team pre-pandemic and during, and they have always done an amazing job. I use them more than my own primary. Their billing practices are CLEAR and reasonable. Just read them and ask questions before you sign to make sure you understand. Another great experience. I hurt my ankle last Sunday and knew it was bad. I took a taxi to FastER instead of Morristown memorial because I knew I would be seen quickly and I like the staff here. Sure enough, intake, X-ray, diagnosis, all within 45 mins. Bad break to my right ankle. Dr Gluckman - working on a Sunday - walked me thru the X-rays and patiently answered all my questions. It was such a relief to know EXACTLY what was going on! He and the whole team are personable and caring, friendly and professional. Came in with a bad case of poison ivy. Both the nurse and the doctor were friendly and helpful. The doctor wrote me a prescription for an oral steroid since it was too chronic for topical as well as some oatmeal products that would help with the itch. As he promised, the steroids started clearing up the rashes and hives in about 2 days. They also called to check how I was doing a couple days later, which I really appreciated. Only losing 1 star because I made an appointment, but still had to wait almost an hour after my appointment. I understand that there were probably people there with more urgent concerns than mine, but an hour seemed excessive. read more

I came to FastER urgent care in order to do a pre-op Covid 19 testing, I was really nervous cause a few months earlier I had a Covid 19 test in another urgent care facility in Rockaway and that was a terrible and painful experience! After my FastER urgent care visit I had to write a review and tell others what a wonderful experience I had here and to let others know that a Covid 19 test does NOT have to hurt, it all depends on the person conducting the test. Annabelle did a wonderful job taking care of me and gently performing the test - unlike the savage from the Rockaway office who left me in pain for hours. Everyone from the young gentleman in the front desk, to the physician assistant I saw were very polite and professional. Just went there today because my pcp canceled my apt due to the cv 19 concern. I've been procrastinating to get my ears cleaned and it was a lot of pressure, pain, and loss of hearing. I saw the physicians assistant who was great! She was so professional and cleaned out my ears quickly. She did it differently then my regular pcp which was a way more efficient way of doing it. I can finally hear again. She gave me advice on my bad allergies and other options to explore as well. I would refer anyone to fast er urgent care. Especially the PA! Although in the past I have had good experiences at this clinic, my experience today gets 1 star because I can't give it 0 stars. I took my son and husband there for a Covid test and to check my sons ears for an infection, we arrived before the clinic opened. Given the increase in cases, there were predictably 75 people there trying to get appointments. They had about 30+ patients waiting in line in the small lobby to sign in. When I said to the Dr at the desk that I was uncomfortable waiting inside with this many people this close together (all of whom were there for Covid tests) and I asked if there was a way to wait outside and be called in. I was rudely advised that if I didn't like it I could leave and come back another time. I do understand that they are busy, but it was very predicable and they were completely unprepared to safely handle nor were they willing to adjust to safely handle the people. As a reminder this office is billing for every patient and should be prepared to professionally and safely handle those they treat. Everyone should have been asked to wait in a line outside. We were eventually seen 4 hours later. And my complaint is not about the wait time, there were a lot of people needing to be seen. I was really offended by the way I was treated by the dr and how irresponsibly they handled the safety of their patients. read more

She went to FastER where she was diagnosed with "swimmer's ear". Later, at around 3am, she woke up crying in pain. I am very grateful for this medical facility. I have had very good experiences with Dr Gluckman as well as his Physician Assistants. I bring my children there and have been there many times myself. The faciltiy is clean, wait times have been reasonable and the care second to none. I highly recommend FastER Urgent Care. Several years ago I saw the Nurse Practioner at my Primary Care Dr's office with symptoms of fever, extreme fatigue and a sore throat. After being misdiagnosed I spoke to Dr Gluckman. He was not in the office but gave instructions to his PA to run bloodwork for Lyme (which the NP refused to test me for even when asked). The PA looked at my throat as well and decided to do a culture (the NP only did a rapid test). My results were positive for Lyme AND Strep and I was able to start treatment for the Lyme immediately. I followed up with an Infectious Disease Dr and have been totally fine every since. read more

Had an okay experience being there. But my issue is the billing department. I called ahead to ask if they accepted AmeriHealth, and they put me on hold twice and sounded like they didn't know. Once they said they did, I asked if they were absolutely sure. They said yes. A couple days later after my office visit, I was billed $200+ after paying my $30 copay. I was furious. I called them and it seemed that when they scanned my insurance card, the back was fuzzy and they couldn't read out the PO BOX, so they decided to just bill me instead?! I was seen on September 11, 2017 and it is now October 27, 2017 and still nothing. I have called multiple times about them sending the claim and they're always made me feel like a bother. The reviews are correct- don't trust the billing procedure as they ask for your card on file and I guess they will do whatever they want with it. read more

I went here a couple weeks ago after a bad persistent case of gastroenteritis. I had some bad vietnamese food and I really felt terrible. I didn't want to go to Morristown ER, since it is always a long wait (II grew up here and been to the ER many times as a kid for asthma). Anyway, I got seen right away, they started an intravenous line and gave me fluids saying I was dehydrated. The physician asst was very nice and helpful. The fluids actually made me feel better and they gave me a perscription for anti nausea medicine. I do though have 2 complaints: 1. They couldn't tell me how much I would owe and how much my insurance would cover. I actually have very good insurance through my work so I am not too concerned, but they need to work on their financial department. 2. There was no doctor available. It would have been nice if a doctor atleast stopped in to see me, but I only ever saw the medical assistants and the physician assistant. She said she spoke to the doctor on the phone, not sure if that was true but still, I felt like a doctor should have checked in on me before they sent me home. Overall, I would recommend for minor issues. However, keep in mind, you'll probably get treated by a physician assistant and not an actual doctor. I found that to be a big letdown and surprised that even legal. Regardless, they did help me get better, but if you want to see a doctor, you may want to call ahead to see there is one physically there. read more

The physicians assistant here is great , facility is clean, and they're quick to get prescriptions sent to cvs but the front office staff is miserable. The attitude and snottiness of the girl from the front desk is very rude especially when you're sick and just looking to feel better. Also the attitude she gave her fellow employees was awful to hear. Power trip central. My husband and I go to this Urgent Care Clinic since we live in Morris Plains, so since 2008! So far, we were always very satisfied with the service. Dr. Gluckman is always very friendly, competent and caring. But my recent experience with the clinic is more than disappointing and frustrating! Maybe they prefer to do COVID tests now versus taking care of other problems. I have a swollen eye since Saturday. I went there Sunday as it got worse. I was told it's a Stye. I got antibiotic eye drops and told to put on warm washcloth compresses. My eye was worse on Monday, so I went back. I was told I needed to be more patient and continue with the eye drops and the compresses. Today, Tuesday, the swelling was even worse and it seemed more inflamed. I called and the PA from the day before brushed me off. She told me to see an ophthalmologist. I had tried to get an appointment before calling them, but either the doctor didn't accept our insurance or couldn't take me in today. The PA was rude, asked which eye doctors I have called (so implying I lied to her) and refused to see me. The PA from Sunday told me to come back after three days if it didn't improve so they could give me an oral antibiotic. I'm done with them, for sure! I still believe that Dr. Gluckman is responsible for who he hires. There are so many new Urgent Care Clinics now in the area and apparently they can ford to lose two patients. read more

Convienent in a crisis,or when a child is sick. I was assured insurance was accepted for payment, I filled out "ALL" paper work. Name, address,medicare, social security,policy& group numbers,employer,spouse, allergies, medications, ect. yet a "CREDITCARD GUARANTEE " for payment was required "BEFORE" service. . My card was charged $242.00 after 10 days . Now 5months later I must wait for the claims to process before a refund can be issued. The nurse practitioner is impatient and gives no opportunity to ask questions. Both times I went there I felt the need to seek medical care elsewhere to get a more accurate diagnosis. Is this your family doctor? No. But I don't know about yours, but my family doctor isn't open on Saturdays or nights and FastER Care is. (These days, my doctor doesn't even remember who I am from visit to visit anyway.) My husband and I have gone here for several years when we've had something come up and need a doctor when ours isn't available. I've had sinus infections galore and it doesn't take a genus to write me script for an antibiotics. If I was bleeding badly enough I would probably go to the ER and get a surgical tech to stitch me up, and I wouldn't got to my primary care physician either. You have to expect from this place exactly what it is: a non-emergency doctor who's available when your regular doctor isn't. read more

My husband went here over a holiday weekend because he thought he had strep throat - he's not one to go to doctors, so it was pretty painful. They told him that they didn't think he had it but would do a throat culture. We never heard back from them. About a week later we got his results along with a note that say BOTH his cell and his home number were incorrect, but that yes, he had strep and need antibiotics. I find it pretty hard to believe that my husband would get both of his phone numbers wrong... this place was pretty much worthless. We were told by our surgical center that we needed a covid test prior to surgery and that the center said we had to come here. The last place I wanted to go as a 70+ senior was to an urgent care place with sick people. I called ahead to see if they would give me the test in the parking lot. They said they would. We drive 30 miles to the place only to find out they didn't have the swabs for the test. They said come back tomorrow. We come back the next morning and they say it is an hour wait. We go home. Later we call to ask the wait time and they say 10 minutes. We come back and call from the parking lot. An aide comes out to give us forms to fill out and says she isn't sure they can bring the machine into the lot. What machine? We give her the forms and now wait. No one has come out. She has our ID and credit card. And here we sit. It's an abomination. We could have gone to cvs, but no, we had to come here. I have to wonder if the surgical center has a financial interest in this place. Finally they arrive with a machine for blood pressure and temperature. And ultimately the test. So here's the deal, they charged for a visit plus the test. Seems like a scam. read more

The wait in the waiting room is expected. But to then be brought into an exam room and left waiting on an exam table for 1-1/2 hours is way too much to expect of anyone who doesn't feel well. This is a good place to go when you think you'll need an X-ray. A little slow in that they have a lot of (2) people see you before finally seing the doctor/NP. My copay is a lot less here than if I had to go to the ER. read more

I went to FastER Urgent Care yesterday because I came down with a stomach virus. The staff was very courteous and caring. I arrived at 2 pm and was out by 2:30 pm. I was so sick that I couldn't sit up without feeling very nauseous so one of the nurses let me lie down in the exam room until the doctor could see me (instead of sitting in the waiting room). The doctor (I didn't get her name) was very knowledgeable and nice. I left with a prescription of Zofran and was feeling better shortly after taking that medication. I recommend this facility if you need to see a doctor quickly and your pcp is not available (and this truly isn't a emergency that you'd need to go to the ER for!). read more

Didn't see an MD but a Physician's Asst instead. I don't think there was an MD there on this Saturday morning. Anyway I was misdiagnosed with urinary retention. She wanted to catheterize me. No way would I let that happen. (Saw a real doctor yesterday. I don't have urinary retention). Also I got a flu shot as long as I was there. That was okay. This place is good in a pinch but be wary and follow up with your doctor as soon as he/she is available. They also called me to give me lab results.
