During my property search I was out of state and gave a "friend" (Lisa Kidwell - owner Sapiah Woodworks) $3000 to pay for various inspections since she said she had great relationships with all the local contractors. Lisa didn't cancel the appointment for Dennis Kurfiss (owner 4K Services) when my contract to purchase a badly neglected home was cancelled so she told me Dennis Kurfiss charged me $850. I called Dennis to find out if that was true and he said Lisa Kidwell (owner of Sapiah Woodworks) was "full of shit" and he was never paid his $250 "trip fee" for the cancellation so I mailed him a check that day. Maintaining her position that she spent my entire $3000, I had to sue Sapiah Woodworks in small claims court and confirmed several more times with Dennis Kurfiss (owner 4K Services) that he was never paid by Lisa with the money I gave her for paying inspectors. I had to pay to have Dennis Kurfiss subpoenaed for court and had to pay his mileage to court in addition to the money already paid to him for his "trip fee." Imagine my horrified face when Dennis Kurfiss testified under oath that after I paid him $250, he received a check from Lisa Kidwell (Sapiah Woodworks) for $200 he invoiced her the day of the cancelled inspection. Even though Lisa paid him 10 days after I paid him, Dennis accepted both payments and testified under oath "I owe someone a refund." After court, when I called and emailed Dennis several times to explain both payments came out of my bank account and ask when he was going to refund me, he refused. Please remember than Dennis Kurfiss lied under oath, took My money for mileage to testify, and refused to refund one of the double payments he received from this disappointed homeowner. And be sure to research all the negative reviews online for Sapiah Woodworks and Lisa Kidwell/Ann Barthrop if you consider hiring them for anything. There are several amazing septic companies that service the communities in Rye and Westcliffe, in Pueblo, Fremont, and Custer counties. Please beware of Dennis Kurfiss and find another HONEST company to trust with all your septic needs.

We went through the stress of trying to come up with the money to replace the line getting bids and finally when we did a few months later the company told us that our pipe was completely fine. Showed us a video after they chained it and there's nothing wrong with it , there was no erosion, not even a single crack! What a waste of time and money I would not recommend hiring them at all!!!!!
