While I was in Orlando on business, I made a call to Florida Family Marine and was fortunate enough to connect with Josh Gourley, the Sales Manager. From beginning to end, the process of acquiring the boat was made easy and enjoyable by Josh and the entire team at Florida Family Marine. The staff on Old New York Avenue politely showed me every aspect of the used boat, and they disclosed both good and not so good items and made everything on the boat 100% functional before I picked her up. They detailed the cushions and cockpit as well as the hull and made the boat feel new to me. The test drive on the St. Johns River (which included some much-appreciated trailering schooling) with Josh was more like a fun family outing with your relaxed brother-in-law than a shake-down run! Josh and the Florida Family Marine team take the hassles out of purchasing a used boat. Boats are expensive vessels in 2025, and this family business takes the risk and discomfort out of the process with a "customer first" focus from beginning to end. They are patient and thorough and insist on making the process an enjoyable effort. This is a model that should be emulated for used boat sales across the nation. We've all heard the horror stories of getting ripped off, or treated poorly at these places. I have now had two experiences with Pier 44 Marina and i am thoroughly pleased and recommend them highly. The first experience was something simple and they told me what to do, sent me away and said, "We can do it and charge you for it, but you can do it yourself and save a lot of money." The second experience was a potential major repair. Three other shops quoted much higher (2-3x) prices and wanted to do additional work that wasn't needed. Larry and Danny did only what was needed and took great care of me and my boat. I have no problem using their services again and recommending them to anyone.

We understand that Boat Tree is the new owner, re-energizing the place; and, providing more services, including free wi-fi on our boat! Access is easy off of I-4 via SR 46; and, parking is plentiful. The facilities are clean and up-to-date; and, maintenance staff are working 7 days a week. We enjoyed our mini-vacation very much; and, I hope to return with my wife for a romantic weekend aboard another houseboat!

Turns out that my bank (IFG Boat Loans) actually masked their loan fees as 'dealer prep fees'. Pretty messed up. Entirety of the review below left for reference. I've updated my score as well. While I still feel that communication could most definitely have been better, R&N was straight up on everything. I recently purchased a Regal from across the country. As stressful as it is to make a big purchase sight unseen, Jason didn't exactly make things easier. Communication was 'ok' in the beginning. I agreed to the asking price on the boat, and arranged finance and inspection, etc. I asked for a few simple things - primarily, I asked three times for an inventory of the vessel (dock lines, fire extinguisher, anchor, etc), so I knew what items I needed to acquire before taking delivery on the water. I asked for a couple of systems to be checked, etc. I never got an answer around these. Fortunately, I hired a marine surveyor to check the vessel out and I was confident enough in its condition to move forward. When paperwork finally got completed, I happened to be in Australia trying to finalize everything. While I saw the initial order form that included your typical $499 'document fee' bs, I missed the final ACTUAL line items where that fee changed to $570, plus an additional $375 in 'document fee'. They reamed me for almost a grand for this nonsense. Registration in CA is the sales tax (use tax) paid, so this was just a straight up padding of the final bill. It's on me that I missed it, but it is a pretty crappy thing to do to people.

They installed an unmatched fuse cover and fixed the table when I brought the boat in for the first service(which I'll be doing myself now on). Over a year later and still no latch I was told I would get. After doing the 100 hour oil change myself I then notice a cowling bolt missing which they installed when they rigged the engine. Poor service.
