I asked why the total had just increased, and I was told that was simply the total. After I paid, I asked for my receipt and noticed that I had been charged a separate card fee. I asked why I was being charged a fee for using my debit card, and the employee told me it was simply "boss man's rules." There was no visible signage informing customers about a debit/card fee, and I was not told about the fee before I was asked to pay. Had I known there was an additional charge for using my debit card, I could have decided whether to pay cash or use my card. My issue isn't the amount of the fee it's the lack of transparency. Customers should be told about additional fees before completing their purchase, not after the total suddenly changes.

They have one pump stand with two dispensers for "Gas War" (is that a political statement?) gasoline, and the fuel prices are generally slightly less than those at AMPM. The store is well stocked with liquor and sodas as well as typical gas station candy and snacks. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly enough. Cleanliness is less than perfect, but all of the food and drink is prepackaged so I'm not terribly concerned. I like the original signpost out front, but wish it was restored to use the neon tubes and lettering instead of a cheap unlit banner being placed over it. Also, despite the advertisement stating otherwise, there is no delicatessen. If this place was cleaned up a bit and revamped to its former glory, I think it would really tie the neighborhood together, but of course I'm the only person I know who notices such things.
