My garage door puller was grinding when I open the door. The door pully on the right side lost tension, cable unwounded off the pulley, two rollers jumped the track. The door looks so bad because it was unlevel and I had to push the door up to get my truck out. My car was parked in the driveway. This was Thursday night at 6:00pm. I researched online the service companies near Chamblee. I choose, Liberty garage services, scheduled an appointment for 9:30am Friday. The tech arrived at 9:15am. He explained what will need to be done and gave me a good estimate. He fixed, adjusted and leveled door in 1 hr. Very professional. He did a great job and greased the cable also. Dana came out the same day I called and had everything needed to make the repairs on the spot. He is knowledgeable and courteous. I called the precision garage door service for rewind the cable. They qoute for $89 for rewinding…read morethe cable. When tech came, he does not want to just rewind the cable. Instead, he insisted to replace many unecessary parts including spring, brackets etc. finally it costs $736.44. Plus, four years ago, for my rental house, I was given 7 tears warrenty, but this time the tech only gave me 3 years warrenty. I do not recommend this company.

I asked how much the spring repair would cost; I was told $249. I then asked if the technician was a contractor, and he explained he worked for PD but was paid by the job. I then asked what the final price would be for replacing the spring on a single door (9'x7'). He then gave me a total price of $522. I then explained the I had a spring replaced at my other house for $225. His demeanor changed and he started talking about OD. He said I would call PD out after to fix what OD messed up. He also said that OD makes their own springs insinuating that OD springs were inferior. He showed me a date in the tension piece on the spring that indicated the date the spring was made, insinuating that OD would use old springs.
