Tip: The restaurant opens a bit earlier than most other dinner venues, so you should make a point of arriving early to avoid having to wait for seating. I'm not sure that the food here is 100% authentic German cuisine, but it's unquestionably high quality, well crafted, and very tasty. You can even find some vegetarian dishes on the menu, which I didn't see a lot of the last time I was in Berlin ;-) On our last visit, we shared some fried eggplant, creamed spinach, and a truly exceptional wiener schnitzel that was served with mashed potatoes, carots, and cauliflower. The portion sizes were very generous; so much so that we had trouble finishing everything - not that we didn't try ;-) I particularly enjoyed the fresh, complimentary loaves of bread that they serve here - right out of the oven!

Pillows under the ladies feet, coat check, chairs pulled out, and never had a glass go empty. We started with langoustine salad (house specialty) , a morel mushroom, shaved truffle and poached egg special, and oysters (gorgeous and delicious). Entrees of beef tartar (they mix in front of you and to your desired spice level), turbot (16 ounces!), and the presses partridge (house specialty and made in front of you). This was plenty of food for our group of four. But of course we had to order their specialty dessert - shaved sponge cake, hot fudge, ice cream and whipped cream. Decadent to say the least. After cocktails, 2 bottles of great wine, food and digestifs the bill came to about 600€. A splurge for a special evening.

The ribs melt from the bone and to your mouth, the burgers are juicy and meaty, the sausage cooked just right, the beer goes down easy and the desserts are mouthwatering. You might not have enough room for dessert, but sharing is caring. I will go back any chance I get and recommend it always.

The beer was the best in all of Madrid, way better than the typical Spanish piss style beer (mahou). The service could use a little help, but as soon as you get their attention they are very helpful. One of the best meals I've had in Europe, not just Spain. It's underground sort of, take the steps down by McDonalds and its the first restaurant on your left.

(por lo mismo pero en vaso de plástico, aunque ellos le llaman pinta, es el tamaño del doble de siempre). El motivo y en palabras textuales de la persona que me atendió, "Cuando hay eventos, el precio es éste", por cierto, entre risas. Si ellos consideran que el tamaño es mayor, vuelvo a insistir en que quiero un doble. Me dicen que sí, pero 3,5 euros a pesar de que en lla carta pone 2,5 euros. Totalmente denunciable pero lo dejo por aquí para que nadie pique en este timo. Hay muchos más bares en la zona en los que no realizan esta mala práctica.
