Ok there are cheaper sandwich shops but they simply not as nice.

This could be a bad thing in terms of choice, but it's not. There's too much choice in the M&S range as it is already. I spend ages every time just staring at the selections of sandwiches and salads. Then another age choosing juice. This store is in an incredibly handy location for anyone who commutes in and out of Cardiff Central, as it's right there in the station. It's also great as a place to stop into before going to Vue Cinemas; here you can get healthy and yummy snacks instead of salty cardboard hot dogs. In short; the food here is fantastic, if not cheap. Great for a healthy snack or treat, not so great for stocking up on basic before you head home (although, maybe if you're on a better wage then me, you'd be alright).

At lunchtime queues can snake out of the door. This place has very fast service, with a good amount of staff who are able to cope with the workload during busy spells well. They also have a good range of sandwich fillings, although these become more and more limited as the day wears on into early afternoon. The prices here are very good; a salad box stuffed to the brim with you choice of goodies will set you back only £2.50, while sandwiches start from £1.70 and baguettes are not too much more. If sandwiches and a fast lunch are what you're after, this is a place that will see you well.

It's sat on the busy traffic lights and crossroads of Cathedral Road and Cowbridge Road East, so it's within walking distance of a lot of business people needing lunchtime snacks. What's good about Posh Nosh, once you've got past the hideous name, is that both the food and the prices are good. You can get sandwiches made up with your choice of fillings from less than £2, or you can get a healthy salad box for just a couple (or perhaps a few) pounds. The staff are also very fast and efficient, so you don't have to wait around for too long usually, although queues can get quite hefty around peak lunchtime periods.

The deli offers a sit down or takeaway service, although on my visit Inma stressed that they mostly offer a takeaway service (this is perhaps because seating is limited to two indoor and an two outdoor tables). The deli has flags and posters of matadors fighting bulls on it's walls and dried meats hanging from its ceiling and a variety of dried pastas stacked on it's shelves. Fresh food include cakes, sandwiches, rolls and hot dishes. On the day I visited 'Inma's bites' - Spanish omelette, meatballs and rice, mixed salad and lasagna were all on the menu -the hot dishes were around the £3-£3.50 mark.

With a good selection of everything you might expect, this is a great place for locals to come for something a little bit more special that what you'll find in Tesco or Spar. The staff here are prompt, but do tend to be a tad abrupt, but not enough to really be considered rude. The shop is clean and tidy, but does not have any particular attention paid to the atmosphere. Good products adorn the shelves, but that's it. While the selection is good, if it's the deli experience you're going for, then perhaps you'd been better trying Shelly's Deli in Pontcanna, or Wally's in the city centre. Go! Eat cheese!

Even going every day I don't think I managed to work my way through them. Great for grabbing a quick breakfast bap, equally as good for an obscure baguette choice. Nice little outdoor seating area though it is slightly reminiscent of a greenhouse. I always find it's good to grab something tasty and head down the road to Alexandra Park for an impromptu picnic.

It's really handy after some serious "retail therapy" in the city, and I then hail down a taxi near the bus stop outside - sorted. Of course, they sell more than just figs - they sell dates as well (b-boom!). No,seriously, fellow Qypers,it's a well-stocked and run store with young, friendly and helpful staff. As they don't have any trolleys they could do with some"wheelie"baskets: handy if you want to buy a bit more (an insider informed me that the ones they did have were nicked - please return them now; you know who you are). One Qyper thinks the store's a bit dear but I think any mark up, given the City Centre location, is reasonable, and never puts me off doing my once-a-week shop there. The overall quality of S/bury's food is always good, and very fresh, with a judicious choice of organic products.

On the whole I was quite satisfied and impressed. The store is not as big as the original, nor does it have as much stock. This is for the better though, as it is ascetically pleasing, and I have often felt that the other store packs far too much in. A further difference is that this new store focuses far more on the sweeter things in life. There is a mouthwatering selection of handmade chocolates, a wide variety of old fashioned sweets, and some simply breathtaking gingerbread houses, which are already on my Christmas list for next year. They do sell some of the more savory products (though if that's what your after I'd head for their other store), including a rather nice selection of oils, which are far superior to anything you get in a supermarket. Finally the great thing about this store, is that it really makes a nice change from all the big brand names that dominate St David's 2. It's so nice to see an independent retailer doing so well, and I would truly encourage anyone to check out Wallys.

Love the baguettes here especially!…read more DW Food to Go is the takeaway arm of the Douglas Willis butchers and if you're a massive Doug Willis fan like I am, I highly recommend popping in for a visit whenever you're in need for some hot food for takeaway in Cwmbran. ~ Atmosphere: Like I mentioned earlier, it's a takeaway, so the atmosphere is very minimal. There's very little seating, only a handful of tables and chairs outside the establishment, so I wouldn't bet on being able to find anywhere to sit and enjoy your meal. ~ Customer Service: I've not had any trouble here so far. The employees are very efficient workers and even when there is a huge queue of customers, everyone only needs to wait a couple minutes maximum until they get served. ~ Food: Like I said, LOVE the baguettes. Today, I ordered a lamb baguette which came with stuffing and mint jelly. Was absolutely divine! Even if you're not much of a baguette person (to be honest, I'm not usually one), there's plenty of other hot food for takeaway - ranging from curries, stews, to breakfast options. Whenever I drop by, I always have to spend a few minutes trying to decide what I want because everything looks delicious! I'm a massive fan of DW Food to Go. Tasty food, fast service, and affordable prices. You can't really get better than that!
