Had my first visit yesterday for x-rays checkup and a cleaning and it couldn't have gone better. Had been looking for a new Dentist for quite a while and I was recommended to Dr. Labib by his cousin who is the pediatric dentist for my kids and they will be going to Dr. Labib as soon as they outgrow Dr Nik (who is an amazing dentist also...must run in the family). A buddy recommended Dr. Labib and he was right. I showed up in a lot of pain from a wisdom tooth, honestly figured it was gonna suck (first time ever at a dentist.. I was pretty nervous.) But from the first call, Dr. Labib was super kind and professional, explained everything, no pressure, no BS. When I got to the office, he quickly figured out the real problem (it was actually my top wisdom tooth, not the bottom like I thought) and explained everything clearly. The extraction itself didn't hurt at all -- and even though I've got a crazy gag reflex, he handled it well and made it easy. Now, about 7 hours later, it's a complete day and night difference from when I walked in. Mild soreness, but nothing close to what I expected. Dr. Labib also has an office on Pico Blvd so don't think you have to go all the way to down town LA Anyway, this dentist is unlike any other you have seen, he is G E N T L E. Wow, I was amazed, all procedures are done with a big smile and comforting manner, had quite a few things done, and the pain was absolutely minimal, hardly felt any. First, let me tell you that I historically had an EXTREME fear and distrust of dentists. Chalk it up to childhood trauma of candy and no brushing. Anyway, I have been going to Dr. Labib in his office on Pico Blvd. near Robertson for over a decade now. He is always KIND, GENTLE, THOROUGH, and does GREAT WORK. He has never tried to get me to do anything I am not comfortable with, and has been understanding of my financial and emotional needs. His staff is sweet and professional. They always remember my name (even though I am only there a few times a year) and give me a thorough cleaning. I recently went in last week to get my two front teeth composited (is that a word?). Well, since they are my front teeth, I was really scared how the results would be, no matter who was doing the work. They turned out beautifully! Shiny, perfectly shaped and color matched to perfection. His office always runs on time. He doesn't book like 10 patients at the same time, making them sit in the chair for hours on end. They are very respectful of peoples' time and I really appreciate that. I am very thankful for his talent, his professionalism and his demeanor.
