One time I developed a very severe cough and they helped me through that. I've also received good advice for lotions and other necessities. I look forward to visiting the shop each time I am in Lisbon.

And if that's not enough - just to the side of the produce there's an organic food section with more yogurt. There's a good selection of wines, though the Continente in the Cascais Shopping Center has more variety. And and overwhelming selection of cheeses - most Portuguese (many from goat and sheep milk) but some from other parts of Europe. There's a few items in the meat section that would be unusual to North Americans, such as whole skinned rabbits, tongue and all, and small packages containing 10 tiny birds, frozen, the whole thing just weighing a couple hundred grams, for Euro 6.50 There's also a big selection of non-food items. One section is even a small music store, only about three meters wide, with electric guitars, strings, amps, picks - whatever you'd need to rock out, at least small-scale.... Plenty of computers and accessories, phones, etc., auto supplies, and on and on. There's another floor above this with some small shops, and a large parking area, both in front of the Jumbo and on the roof. There's toilets (free) on both floors, and a Multibanco Caixa automatico.

I went with friends, 4 of us, so we were advised that it'll be a few minutes until someone could assist us, it was no problem, they said we could browse around the 1st floor (not upstairs yet). Mind you, we're dressed very casual for a day out and about and with our backpacks. Within a few minutes, Miguel came to introduce himself and from there it was a delight. One of our group showed interest in a wallet and he immediately pulled out all the different colors and styles in that size, let us handle and compare, no problem at all. We didn't feel rushed, or pushed, he was so graceful and fun! We ended up purchasing a handbag and 2 wallets, we were able to get hot stamping on everything we wanted... Miguel was wonderful. During check out, he explained the VAT (tax refund) process and gave me the form and instructions on how to. This was a memorable experience for my friends and I. Fragrance, hand cream, body cream and everything smells wonderful. These are not the overly sweet scents most Americans prefer, these are gorgeous, subtle, interesting fragrances. Just beautiful. Check this place out, near the coastline, it's an interesting shopping area overall. What pulled me in was the cute bike outside, with a flower filled basket. Staff extremely helpful and friendly!

You can find Benamor at many of the local pharmas or nicer gift stores but the Lisbon store near the waterfront is worth a visit. They have all the items, including newer releases and gift sets. The products make perfect gifts as they're beautifully packaged. There are a range of scents, mostly natural and each is a family that has soap, creams, lotions etc. There's also a small skincare line under the "Miracle Rose Face" family - the very one the queen liked. I did a lot of Christmas shopping here and the friendly, helpful staff including a lot of amazing free items as part of a Black Friday promo. Worth a visit for sure!

On my trip to Portugal I started feeling sick on the last few days of my trip. When in Sintra our…read moretaxi driver directed us to this pharmacy. Inside is a counter where you meet with a pharmacist and you can ask for any type of medication you might need. For my symptoms I knew what I needed and I was able to show the pharmacist what over-the-counter medications I typically take at home. She was very friendly and helpful and gave me two different medication's. That would help with my symptoms and were similar to the medication's I take at home when I get sick. I really felt like she took the time to listen to me and make sure that I had everything that I needed. I was fortunate that she spoke very good English so there was not a language barrier. There were several other pharmacists working, which was nice so there was not a long wait. I think I spent about $16 on both medications which I felt like was a pretty good price.
