On my trip to Portugal I started feeling sick on the last few days of my trip. When in Sintra our taxi driver directed us to this pharmacy. Inside is a counter where you meet with a pharmacist and you can ask for any type of medication you might need. For my symptoms I knew what I needed and I was able to show the pharmacist what over-the-counter medications I typically take at home. She was very friendly and helpful and gave me two different medication's. That would help with my symptoms and were similar to the medication's I take at home when I get sick. I really felt like she took the time to listen to me and make sure that I had everything that I needed. I was fortunate that she spoke very good English so there was not a language barrier. There were several other pharmacists working, which was nice so there was not a long wait. I think I spent about $16 on both medications which I felt like was a pretty good price. read more
