A block of Piermont Avenue was closed to traffic and transformed with street vendors selling food, beer, and other knickknacks. Some were dressed for the occasion in lederhosen and dirndl. We found a vendor selling the giant pretzel with fondue dipping sauce to share and only $14. It came out freshly from the oven and tasted delicious. There's a grocery store across the street that used to be Pathmark, Acme, and now Lidl. And although those supermarkets have come and gone over the years, Farmer's Market has remained! There's always workers restocking the shelves and they offer a wide variety of produce. They also sell flowers and we've bought beautiful bouquets from them before. COVID Measures: staff have masks on and there are dividers at the register with markings on the floor to stay 6ft apart. It's Autumn now and you'll see plenty of harvest decor to survive up your yard. Prices and service still keep me coming back. You'll often find items/plants from the people season at great prices on clearance. One other huge benefit of shopping for weekly produce here is avoiding the chaos and stress of major supermarkets!
