They acted promptly to reimburse me for the incredible damage and even put me up at a hotel where I could bring my cat while I very slowly tried to make my condo livable by myself and one of the supers in my building. They also helped me when my car was hit while parked in front of a grocery store and the person didnt leave a note. It is such a pleasure to work with them.

I was given no instructions on what I had to do until I received a bill a month or so later . I called them n they said the y renewed policy because I never gave them proof I returned my plates , ( during Covid )! I did so and the wouldn't remove the charge for a policy on a truck that was returned to Chrysler , I disputed charge and did not pay because I not only cancelled w them but no longer had the vehicle , . So they put me in to collections. Very unprofessional of them , and I would never use them ever again, wis there were a negative star review

There is an Office, only 1 in Westchester, and got Amara, young Agent to tell me how much my policy would be comparing it to my previous Insurance. The most obvious difference was between Renters Insurance. She spoke very fast, had objections to all my questions as I cant compare Apples and Oranges. Before I knew it, I was paying the Full Year of both Renters and Auto. Saving $200 which I thought may have bern worth the switch. Not so fast..I couldnt get their Mobile App to work, did not get confirmation of how much I paid, finding that there are different departments based on what you needed, I decided to call Amara for help. Left 2 messages with no call back. I then called Customer Service to answer some questions that came up, waited on the phone 40 min, got a gent, who put me on hold---forever. I then called my previous Insurance, they had not Cancelled me yet because Amara never sent the notice to me to forward on. That was actually lucky so I told them I wanted to come back. Ok Tried Amara again, too busy, but no call back all day. I called Customer Service and got a wonderful woman who Cancelled my Auto & sent to Allstate. Renters is separate as they have different investors buy a part of everyones policy. CS Gent was a Pro! Very welcoming, not pushy. He put in the paperwork to Cancell and said few hours, request for monies I ended back at Allstate. Good news, I am never doing that,1

    I have been an auto and renter's insurance customer of this group for over a decade. I have had…read moreminimal interactions with Allstate during this time, as it was unnecessary. Unfortunately, on January 19th, 2024, I was involved in an auto accident- my first. Thankfully, I am well; my car, however, was a total loss. I imagined the most distressing part of the incident was still to come- working with my insurance. I want to highlight my agent, Danielle Pezzano, who ensured the experience was anything but that.  Danielle guided me through this process and was always available by phone or email for questions and concerns. Danielle thoroughly explained everything along the way and was timely in her responses and actions. I felt that she was a supportive advocate for me, and that is just what is needed after a traumatic experience. I cannot imagine what this could have been like had I been with a different company, but more importantly, another agent.  This experience has affirmed for my partner and I that we feel valued as Allstate customers and have no reservations about maintaining our policies and recommending Allstate (and Danielle) to our family and friends. As someone who has worked in sales, customer service, and management, I recognize that we often only hear about less-than-ideal experiences. I made it a point to take time out of my day to ensure that Danielle is recognized for the outstanding service and representation of this agency.

    So apparently when you make a payment online, despite all the evidence showing that you paid on the…read moredue date, they won't process your payment till the day after. Which means they will cancel your policy for one whole day. They did not notify me of my cancelled policy, but they did notify the NY DMV. I didn't find out about my cancelled policy or my suspended registration till a month later when I came back from vacation & checked my mail. Which pretty much means that my State Farm agent let me drive uninsured for one whole day. I took time off of work just to drive down to their agency & show them the confirmation number, & online account statement that shows that I paid on time, but they told me that there was nothing to do, so my car registration got suspended even though I paid on time. The best part is that my one day suspension turned in a three day suspension because I turned the plates in on Thursday, which means I can't reclaim them until Saturday, except the DMV is closed on the weekends, which means I have to wait till today Monday. But wait there's more. I still can't reclaim my plates & car registration because the James O'Brien agency were suspoded to reissue me a new insurance ID card that states my new reinstated coverage. Which means the start date HAS to read the date after my policy was cancelled. Thanks James O'Brien for wasting my time & taking my money.
