I enjoy finding everything from fresh produce to handmade items at the artisan booths, which makes each visit feel unique. The market is always organized well, so it is easy and relaxing to walk around and explore. I also love seeing all the happy dogs out with their owners. I did not take any photos this time, but I will definitely grab some next time I visit.

I picked up 3 new pairs with fun and funky styles. If you have seen the new trucker hat styles with patches that are becoming popular, they also had lots of choices to customize your own. It wasn't tooooo hot at 9:30 AM and the shade kept us cool. Parking was easy across the tracks with a short walk. Sidewalk and flat grounds if your restricted mobility wise. Nice start to a Sat. The produce was really great, with fresh flavor that is hard to get with supermarket produce. The ground lamb was good too. Prices were comparable to local farm stand prices. My only complaint is that the amount of vendors was minimal. Plenty of space to have a much larger farmers market.

The market is 5-8 PM on Wednesdays through October 30, 2024 at Chapman Green downtown. It's still a project in progress and some weeks are better than others, but I always leave with a great find/purchase. They have a list of all the vendors and local businesses participating on their website and they do a good job of posting it on their Facebook's event page every week as well. You'll find anything from meat, produce, and dairy to handmade goods from artisans and makers. My favorites are Frios popsicles (especially in the summer, inheritance, okie red's bakery, onifade's cookies, spring fed family farms and sunshine haven harvest. Parking is always free for vendors and customers, check out the map. They also have a list of entertainers and the schedule along with some fun theme nights. They'll be hosting the 918 Day Festival on September 18, with a live DJ and other fun local art as well as a kids night on October 2 that includes free face painting, games, and a fun performance by Hot Toast Music Company.
