I really enjoy working with these guys. Probably purchased over 100 items from their auctions and have not been disappointed with any of it. They are very good at letting the customer know on their auction site if an item is damaged or is not working. They don't hide anything. Often times having new products and products that are very slightly used it's nice to buy things at a discounted price. I've had them sell multiple items of my own and got fair pricing for it. We hired Fargo Liquidators AKA Grandma's Attic to help us liquidate our Mother's estate in Moorhead, MN this year. The owner was quite polite, seemed trustworthy, and answered all of my questions. I signed his contract on behalf of my sister and I, and the mood changed shortly thereafter. The owner stated to my sister and I that sometimes people change their minds so it would be fine for my sister, husband or family member to bid on the auction, as long as it was NOT the person that signed the contract, which was me. As we saw the ridiculously low prices during the last day of the auction, my husband and sister decided to do just that and attempted to buy back some of these very nice items that we would rather donate to a charity than sell for pennies on the dollar. They ended up buying back $467.34 (taxes/fees included) worth of our own items that were going for practically nothing. Even though the owner told us we could do this he now is accusing us of "shilling" and instead of 28% commission as had been agreed upon, he now claimed 50% of EVERYTHING as commission! So how can this be considered "shilling" when we bought back $467 worth of our own stuff?? Yes, it was in the contract that I did not examine closely enough, and after trying to settle with the owner, we took the matter to small claims court but they sided with him due to me signing his contract. What a horrific experience working with this company and especially the owner. It was hard enough losing our Mother, and then have someone take advantage/capitalize on the situation. I will never recommend anyone to do business here. For anyone that does, please be aware and warned of the "gotcha's" in the contract! read more
