This is a moderately large and orderly antique/collectible shop. There are some large items…read moredisplayed at the front (a baby grand piano and a number of old gas pumps), but otherwise, the shop is arranged in rows of booths. I was impressed that the booths were all well kept, not filled with junky stuff that someone would find at a flea market or garage sale. Well, maybe some of that stuff, but generally there was a better quality of items than I've seen at a lot of places. There seemed to be a fair amount of furniture and oil paintings. There were Coca-Cola and some Barbie items too. However, the number of pure antiques was relatively low. And some of the items were well worn, so maybe not quite collectible, but the pricing seemed to reflect the condition. Seems like a decent place to stop if you enjoy browsing through these places. In comparison to some of the other larger antique malls the prices are very reasonable in here. My advice is to take your time and look through everything as there may be some hidden gem that you miss if you don't. Right now during the covid-19 pandemic face masks are required when entering the building and all staff are wearing them. All of the booths in the building are unmanned but the employees who work at the counter where you pay are able to contact the booth renters if you have a question on an item. The items found in the booths are varied. You will find antiques, unique items, glassware, cookware, clothes, Hot Wheels, and just about any other thing you can think of! Happy shopping.

Despite being crowded with shoppers, the clerks were welcoming and friendly. They carry assorted antiques, vintage items, scents/candles and more. Currently, they are decorated for Christmas with a lot of holiday merchandise. There is an upstairs with rooms filled with assorted vintage items. I confess that I was on sensory overload with all the customers, smells of cider and merchandise. The shop was a little tight and I will probably go back at a time when they are less crowded. During this event there are participating shops and you are given a card to have stamped at each vendor and then you are entered in a drawing for gift baskets and cards once you have visited 10 shops. This shop has very nice decor items and furniture. They also had some clothing. There is public and street parking close to Blackbird Nest and the other shops I wanted to visit. As I entered Blackbird Nest I received a pleasant greeting. The Blackbird Nest specializes in redesigned modern, antique and vintage furniture along with home decor, lamps, new clothing, bath and body products, prints, florals and wreaths plus holiday decor. The shop has several smaller rooms with various items incorporated throughout but items are organized well and prices are clearly marked. I liked seeing furniture, clothing, home and holiday decor all tastefully arranged together in each space. The store has a few narrow isleway's but most are spacious enough to browse comfortably down. They do have a dressing room to try on clothing you are interested in. If you're in Franklin make time to visit Blackbird Nest. Terrific location for gifts, clothing and unique furniture.
