Obviously it's also perfect for those who spend more time in the CBD be it for work or leisure and don't drive in. The salon itself is suitably decorated for the grand old building it's in, with wooden floors and just the required amount furniture, being two comfortable barber chairs, a third (old) one just for show, a sitting area with some magazines, the main counter and a wash/shampoo area to the rear. Lenny (Adam's dog) seems like he's part of the furniture but will respond to some patting, love and admiration (see his picture on their website). I've been coming here for quite a few years and can honestly say I haven't been disappointed. It's not one of those large unisex places where you feel like you're on a conveyer belt and your nostrils are filled with the smells of hair dye and nail technician chemicals, nor is it one of those latest trend places where you get a beer, a facial and a shoulder rub at the same time, but your haircut never looks like it should. I don't mix my massages with my haircuts although the beer idea...oh well. There is something very inviting about The Mens Room. It's a place for 'men', where conversations can be centered on sports, or girls, or something in the moment, or even nothing at all. It's a quick little 'time out' where you're treated well and leave the salon looking and feeling great.

These two jordanian brothers are the most agreeable, happy men you could ever hope to meet. It is a little difficult to tell them apart, except that Khalid is taller and a lot more talkative (in a good way). They provide excellent old fashioned service with a smile. You can send your man in there to have a traditional barber shop shave and he can come out feeling very pampered - a good idea for a Christmas or birthday present for those hard to buy for men. It is a busy little shop especially on the weekends. Regulars and visitors alike file in here for a $20 haircut using just clippers. How cheap is that! We girls have to spend at least three times that to get our mane clipped.

They've even dusted the 2mm high dust on the products counter where in one particular spot you could tell a tube of some magic hair potion had been sold. How do I know? The distinct lack of dust in one spot in the shop of a particular circular shape. Prices are dirt cheap and Vino is a wizard with the electric clippers. The variety may be lacking but the short, back and sides are down pat. Step into another time and have a cut with a difference. Come on, you owe it to yourself.

I was delighted to find Bruce who was working in Norwood and is fresh from the London Toni and Guy . I am very happy in giving Bruce the trust of my hair and I am very happy with the results. I specified very roughly the style I wanted as I have very short hair and Bruce did the rest. I was also able to observe the other hair cuts Bruce had done and they suited the men and women whose hair he had cut. Although not a coffee drinker myself, I have it on good authority that they serve a mean cuppa here and that the Cibo beans are delicious! On my first visit, Hayley did a fabulous job of matching my highlights and mixing the perfect shades, even though she hadn't met me before.
