I received a couple of gift cards for Vive!, and finally got a chance to visit recently. I was…read morehaving some serious back pain and made an appointment with Amanda. Vive is a very calming space. The lights are low and it's very comfortable. It looks small at first but there's a small waiting room down the hall from the entrance. Since it was my first visit, I spoke with the receptionist prior to my visit, and I filled out a medical/treatment history upon arrival. Amanda reviewed it with me thoroughly before starting my treatment. Amanda was also very professional. In addition to going over health information, she made sure that I was comfortable with what massage entails, that consent and comfort was paramount, and that I could tell her at any point if I was uncomfortable with what was happening. I really appreciated that clear communication. Something that's really helpful is that Vive lists all their therapists on their website, and in addition to their specialties it lists their pressure level. That was extremely helpful to me, because I knew I wanted someone who used firm pressure, so that definitely helped me find the right therapist. My time with Amanda was not only relaxing but helpful, as my back--whilst not completely neutral--felt much better after my session. And within the week the pain was essentially gone. I don't know if this was the reason, but it was certainly a contributing factor. In addition to standard massage, they have an infrared sauna here as well. They also sell a few items that may provide further relief. There are a few parking spaces in the lot directly in front of the business, and there are a few diagonal spaces on the street as well (just be sure not to block the sidewalk). If necessary, there's also parking along the neighborhood streets, too.

Excellent massage and service. Highly recommend any service. My husband and I both went in for…read moremassages and the ladies were very caring about our health issues.

Out of desperation, we reached out to Let Mommy Sleep. Due to distance we won't able to use their services but Erin was so kind as to arrange a consultation to help us. Erin explained that gas cues could be the same as feeding cues. We observed our son the next night from a different perspective. Turned out we have been micro feeding him thinking he was hungry when he was just gassy. This probably results in more discomfort and explained why he would spit up and sometimes or only takes 10ml and refuse to eat more. We did the bicycle exercise quite a bit that night and he was able to sleep 2.5 hours at a time through the night for the first time! I feel so much more confident as a mom and the baby is a lot more comfortable too. We can't thank you enough!!!! If you are a mom that's about to lose it, please don't hesitate to reach out to them and get help! Wish we could have lived closer to use their services!

Amazing bed side manner, always compassionate and caring during exams. She's listened to all of my concerns and really gone above and beyond during what I felt were very demanding times health wise. I am going through IVF at an outside clinic and ended up with a large cyst that needed to be surgically removed. Dr. Sandulescu was amazing! There were billing mishaps on the hospital side that her office quickly addressed and helped me get appropriate documentation to support which saved me $$$! I've always been greeted warmly at the practice and staff have always been very quick and caring to help resolve issues. Sometimes more embarrassing ones! Any time I've called each staff member has been patient in letting me explain my issue, very helpful to get me in when I need and always a great attitude. The nurses are great as well and seem to be knowledgeable and understanding.

Imagine being 8 months pregnant, finding blood in your urine, going to Evanston L&D in the middle of the night and a doctor slamming a door in your face telling you " I know what I'm doing I do this for a living!"all because you questioned the safety of a medication she prescribed. The resident I was unfortunate enough to work with, Nicole Michael, was also abysmal but I'll give her a pass because I was a resident at one point in my career. Apparently questions are not welcomed by Mary Conte. She insisted I had a UTI when every Urine analysis and culture came back negative for uti pathogens. Did she follow up with additional testing to figure out why there's blood in my urine? Or advise me on how to move forward? Nope. Turns out I had massive kidney stones in both kidneys which a month later I woke up in immense pain and it induced early labor. If she had done additional testing and follow ups, I could've been referred to a urologist and developed a plan. Just absolute sub par care and according to the nurses at Evanston, they can't stand Conte either. I hope Evanston HR sees this and acts accordingly. Mary Conte is the reason I and my entire family have switched from this OB practice to Advocate.

My MCWHC doctor is at another location, so this review is for the mammography department…read more Making the appointment through the website was simple. I entered the days and times I was available, they selected one and asked me to confirm online or call to reschedule. Luckily it was fine. Check in was unremarkable. I was asked if I was seen by any of the offices in the past 12 months. I was, but they couldn't find a copy of my insurance card so I had to give it to them again. Not a big deal. Maria was the mammography tech who performed my procedure. She apologized for running behind, even though it was only by a few minutes. She was very sweet and chatty, attempting to put me at ease. The actual mammogram is never pleasant, but Maria constantly checked in to see if the pain was too much. She was very hands on, adjusting my body into the correct position for optimal readings. Again, not comfortable, but bearable for a few minutes. She did 3D and 2D scans, started the process to request copies of my old scans, and promised to forward the results to the radiologist then my regular doctor. She will also mail results to me in the self addressed envelope provided by the front desk. I can't say I am looking forward to doing this all over again next year, but at least I won't dread it as much. Pro-tips- wear a top easy to take off, no bulky necklaces, no deodorant (or be prepared to use a wipe to remove it), and bring your insurance card.

If you call the corporate office number, if you can even find it, they can't help you because they are a different office. Midwest Center means nothing other than a common name, like going to a Shell gas station, one has nothing to do with another. Took me multiple requests, over a period of more than 3 years to get my medical records transferred to my new doctor, which were finally transferred as of this year, 2025. Good Lord. What a frickin joke. Please, please, don't waste your time there. See previous review by me if you want the full story. Sep 9, 2022Previous review After being a patient in this practice, long before it became MCWHC, like two decades long, my previous doctors retired, one after the other. Since the changes in doctors in this office, that for me began this year, it was a nightmare to get an appointment, no one seemed to know who was where and when. Had a procedure scheduled for March and received a call 3 days prior regarding the meds and was told that the procedure needed to be pre-paid, even though I have very good insurance. Was 'allowed' to make arrangements since I hadn't been notified and providing that I pay a portion up front. Subsequent billing to my insurance company was submitted with my name reading two different ways and insurance company processed the claims as two different people with two different deductibles. While in direct contact with the billing department, it took me 4 months to get it straight with the insurance company. All along, I continued to make monthly payments since I didn't originally know where the fault lay. Once I discovered it was the bill submissions that caused the errors and delay in payment, the claims were corrected by the insurance company. The very same day that I receive the corrected statement from insurance, I received a voice mail that I was being sent to collection. I returned the call and told them to do whatever they felt was necessary. Not one time did I receive an apology for the months of agony dealing with the insurance company that had to go through every single claim from every single provider this year to resolve the issue. The billing department of MCWHC further claimed that I had not made a payment since March when, in fact, I had paid over $800 while all of this was happening. After receiving nonsense responses from billing, telling me where to look on their website but in no way providing confirmation of my payments, I finally began sending emails directly to Dr. Clear to no avail. My emails have gone completely ignored. Last communication I had with her was that she was going to reach out to my oncology gyne for a consult and get back to me, that's right, oncology. Never heard another word. Maybe I am dying, I guess I won't know from Dr. Clear. The last email I sent to Dr. Clear, I made it clear that no response is a response. After reading all of the complaints here on Yelp, I could not agree more with the rudeness of the billing office and the office staff. They could care less about your health, they are all in for the money. I told Dr. Clear that it is unfortunate that she and others came into a practice that was built long and hard by others that they are destroying day by day. Very sad. Please go somewhere else as I am.
