I had the Chipotle Bacon cheeseburger on Texas toast, well done for me (they will prepare to your liking), which is charbroiled, then dunked in their home made bourbon sauce and served with Swiss cheese and jalapeños. The fries have some type of coating that makes them a little crispier and a little tastier. Even if you're cruising up I35, it's worth the detour into WC for a great meal. The skin was battered perfectly and it was incredibly crispy while the meat inside was still juicy and delicious. This is some of the best friend chicken we've ever had - hands down!! The only suggestions I would make is #1 get there early because it is a popular place and #2 A 'cook to order' option for the eggs in the buffet would push it over the top. We can't wait to go back!

We were up there for Christmas this year and in Goldfield, as well as a lot of other small Iowa towns, you're lucky to find anything open in Christmas day. We placed a large order for three pizzas and 40 wings. The wait was about at the 45 min mark, but we assumed the kitche would be busy and ordered with time to spare for dinner. I'd ordered on the app and the food was ready at the noted time when we arrived to pick it up. Actually it was done when we got there...a few minutes early...so that was nice... The food was great. But the real shoutout needs to go to the ladies working on Christmas day...! I'm sure they are compensated (hopefully with 2x holiday pay) and only have to work partial shifts so they can spend time with their family too... We really loved that you all were open and doing what you do. Our family celebrated together on the 26th this year. Most everyone traveled in on the 25th... No one wanted to cook.
