It has taken some time, but they seem to have settled with a really good base of doctors now. I believe you need to be registered with the surgery prior to being able to see one of the doctors, so that is something to note, if you have moved into the area. I know a few years ago, they were not taking new patients but this may now have changed. There is a free hearing test clinic on-site, a pharmacy next-door and a dedicated nurse. There is also plenty of parking at the surgery or right across the road in the Tesco car-park. It means the visit to the doctors is hassle free. It is €55 for a standard appointment, which I do know is dearer than some other places.

They gave me an appointment within that day even though I wasn't a patient in the practice. I was waiting quite a while after I arrived, but I feel like that is often the case with most doctors! The doctor I saw was really nice & friendly, she made me feel totally relaxed. Hopefully I won't have to, but I would certainly go back to her if I were sick again!

When I rang to…read morecomplain about how I was treated the receptionist acted like a child refusing to answer me, put me on speaker and I could hear her footsteps, refused to give me her name, told me to "write it all down" and hung up on me mid sentence! Initially was refused when I was heavily pregnant just because my combined care was with a different medical Centre. I explained that the appointment wasn't for the baby but was for me as I was ill - too ill to make it to my usual doctor who was in Dublin City centre. I was again refused because I wasn't doing combined care with them and when I asked if I could switch to them -suddenly was told they were full. I rang back after my son was born and was told that once he had the 6 week check up I could then book in for an appointment. When I tried to book receptionist was so rude to me about me not being registered. I had to ask her to explain the process of how to register she exasperatedly told me to write an email as if I should have known this already. I was not told any of this info on how to register previously. I was made to feel like an outsider trying to get into some exclusive club rather than a mother trying to get a GP for her son.

Again before i would get free letter from them for my blood test, twice a year but last time i went, i was told that i have to see the doctor first to get the letter and pay 55 euros, i was really upset, when i am not sick why should i see a doctor and pay 55 euros. i am really disappointed with them and i can't afford to pay that much every time i need repeat prescription and letter for blood test, so i have decide to look for another doctor whom i can afford to pay.

I got a Mirena placed, no…read moremeasurement, no ultrasounds....Mirena straight away not having had babies before (apparently this is a common practice in Ireland, but not in the rest of Europe). I was in horrible pain for days and went to get it checked. Once again no ultrasound to check if the Mirena is fitted correctly. Then, after 4 weeks of horrible pain, I had to go to emergencies in a different country during a business trip to get it removed. Contacted Well Woman Centre and obviously they are not going to assume any responsibility. There you go, 500€ to the bin. I mean.... what can you expect from sexual health service that does not even have gynecological bed. 3rd World service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!

I don't know where to begin. Also don't understand why I keep going back to this place under the…read moreillusion that they have some expertise on women's health. Firstly the problem is that these 'doctors' are unable to diagnose and just prescribe things without really investigation or listening to you. They take no time to listen to you and take a good look or try to get to understand their patient better. They think because some test has come back as negative that then means you are OK even though you continue having some symptoms. They think their job is done and don't event suggest to try and figure out to see what the cause is. Essentially they are afraid of vaginas and the human body. And here they describe themselves as 'gynecologist' whilst they are just female gps. In my last experience I was told to check back with the doctor after she gets back from leave (which meant waiting 3 weeks!) Do not go here!
