I love Ollie's! I live in the Chicago area and have…read morerelatives that live in Londonderry which is just outside of Chillicothe that we visit 6-7 time's a year. We always go to Ollie's. People that give Ollie's a bad review don't understand what Ollie's is about. Ollie's buy up products that other stores and warehouses can't move. They heavily discount the items at great prices. The store does seem to be disorganized most of the time but when you go in there you never know what they are going to have. I blame a lot of the disorganization on the customers. People just move things around and don't have the courtesy to put things back. The biggest lack of respect is the parents that let their kids go wild in the toy isle. They just let them go like it's their personal playground while they go shopping. When they're done they grab the kids and leave toys all over the isle. People, control your kids! This is a place of business, not your personal playground. The best thing I like at Ollie's is the book section. It's awesome to get books that are $29.00 for $1.99. Ollie's has just about anything you need. Housewares, linens, personal hygiene products, tools, toys, food items, and more. Check it out when in the area. You'll be glad you did.

Absolute pros when it comes to the "bait and switch". And of course, they're ALWAYS understaffed,…read moreso they can claim that there's no one to check the shelves and make sure that items are in the right place. So, when you walk in to buy a $2 brush that's on sale, and find out, only after you've made the purchase that it was considerably more expensive, you've already made the drive home and it really just isn't worth driving all the way back into town to rectify the issue. And they (corporate) know that. So, they'll continue to screw over their customers and you'll be forced to take it, without lube. The first sign that there's an issue is when you have employees who look like they've been worked to death and are only running on fumes, they have one register open, and the "self checkout" is even down. This company is pathetic and they'll keep being pathetic until customers figure out that they're feeding into their scheming and corruption.

Came in looking for cabinets and stuff. After getting oriented to this particular variation of the…read moreMaynard's floor plan I made my way over to kitchens. Found the pull-outs and assorted storage accessories I thought I'd want and after a little poking around I figured, correctly, that the unfinished cabinets were on the mezzanine. There was a good selection of drawer or door face cabinets from 12" up but they weren't quite what I was looking for. Went downstairs and looked through cabinet hardware for a bit and after finding all the necessary pieces decided I'd be better off finding a good set of plans and making my own custom cabinets. I like Maynard's, it's more hardware than home improvement and you need to have an idea of what you're about to get up to and how to get it done. After that it's all ducks and gravy :-)

The first unit was damaged, so they are waiting for another to be delivered. They don't have the decency to be open at all in a neighborhood that depends on this store. There is no other store within walking distance, so apparently their customers can just get screwed. The store is still filthy and the shelves only halfed stocked. I guess we shoppers don't deserve a clean well stocked store. It's not a problem at the other two stores, so it is a choice being made by someone.
