We know I love a stadium! Bought tix in Jan to bring my Mom to see Bruno, a concert she claims she's wanted to see for 20 years. We had floor seats with my sister and her boyfriend. The show and stadium were awesome. We danced all night. The concessions weren't great. I was the DD so I had some kettle corn and a dirty chai latte from a Tom's coffee cart. Parking was absolutely atrocious getting out of here following the show. We were gridlocked from 11p-1230a. They need a solution for this. I've never seen a clusterfu*k this bad and I've been at stadiums that hold far more than Falcon. All in all, its backdrop in stunning Colorado Springs at the Air Force Academy is such a fun experience. If an artist adds dates with this location, I'd highly recommend attending a show here. read more

Came here for the Bruno Mars Concert. That was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, but this review will be for the venue itself. I randomly got lucky and when I was coming into park I got put very far from the stadium in overflow parking. I was bummed at first but looks like it was a blessing in disguise. I did like how the seats were all numbered and spaced for actual human sizes! It did not feel too crowded in out seats. Downside, no service anywhere in the venue, restrooms were mainly porta-pottys with no attendant insight. Same goes for the real restrooms, after the starting act we were to the restroom and there was basically no toilet paper. Also the website gave incorrect information on what you were allowed to bring in. The lines for the merch and the food was very unorganized. The venue clearly did not anticipate so many people because the lines were so long they started blocking the flow of normal walking paths. My group and I did get a bit nervous since there were over 30k people in attendance and we did come up with an emergency plan incase things went awry. Lastly the parking. I was so glad that I parked all the way at the back of the lot, meaning I would be one of the first people out. Unfortunately they just hired contractors to direct traffic and they did a poor job. Probably because they were given no direction. I was lucky that my wait was only 30 minutes, and that's because I was at the front of the exit and pushed my way through. I hear horror stories of it taking people 45 minutes to almost 3 hours just to get to the main road. Also since we didn't have any service, so many people had to walk out to call an uber. Very scary that they didn't have any other options. Overall 2/5 stars for the venue. read more

The traffic is the worst I've ever been to. You tell me you have had over 3 months to prepare and couldn't figure out the flow of traffic for Bruno Mars. I've watched my ETA increase to almost 2 hours from the original ETA. Please don't allow artists to host concerts here. Empower Field is so much better at this. I hate this venue. Least favorite so far. There's not a lot of ways in and because it's a military base, there's just one parking lot. Whereas empower, there's so many parking lots around the area so you can park further and avoid the traffic. Also there aren't clear instructions on all the exits. We were in section M7 and we could not figure out how to get up from L without walking all the way back to first steps. There's just people everywhere like sardines. You had people waiting for the bathroom that mixed with people trying to walk by. It was a mess. If there's a stampede, it's just a catastrophe in the making and I'm worried thinking about it. read more

Knowing what to expect on entering USAFA and parking after going to school and football games on this base. I knew the drive in was going to be a bit slower to get in. The parking lot at the stadium is chaotic. They need more ways out to the Main Street because if we would have stayed until the very end we would have been stuck for hours. Also getting the early pass was chaotic and not very organized. I can only imagine there were quite a few people that got in that didn't have early passes. The Bruno Mars show though was everything and more. Being outside on a nice September night made it better. They were able to do confetti, fireworks, flames, dancing, singing and so much more. read more

Absolute worst concert experience of my entire life, last night! I have waited for at least 12 years to see Bruno Mars and this was supposed to be such a great day! Not even. Falcon Stadium has capacity for over 46k people, for context, that's more than 4x that of Red Rocks, and they only have two ways in and out. It took an hour to get an Uber who didn't cancel on us, for $70 something, then we sat in traffic for literally two hours to reach the ride-share drop location. They also jam out the cell signals on the base, so you have to use their WiFi to order a ride pickup, if anyone will accept it. We missed the opener completely, and Bruno was delayed getting on stage because of the menagerie unfolding on the roads to the stadium. They have no business whatsoever hosting a show of this magnitude with the infrastructure they've built. I will never come back...the acoustics suck anyway!!!!! I am so beyond pissed off, and we had to leave early because we weren't even gonna sit in traffic for another 2-3 hours to GTFO!!!! read more

Enjoyed Air Force vs. Hawaii game in Sep 2025 ! Highly recommend attending a game if you are in Colorado Springs during football season. Delicious food! I had the bomber nachos. We purchased tickets to Bruno Mars in Jan for his concert in Sept. My family of 4 drove down from Denver and 2 family members flew in from UT to attend this concert. We had never been to this stadium so picking seats was difficult. There were no view pics or indications of what the seats were like. We were in M9 row P. They are metal bleachers. We paid almost $300 a ticket for metal bleachers. The design of the stage was awful. It was like a display box and only the very center seats could see anything. We were never informed Raye wasn't going to be there. Honestly, if I would have been informed ahead of time, I probably would have looked at selling my tickets. There was no announcement or acknowledgment that she wasn't there during the concert which I thought was weird. The concert was supposed to start at 7. DJ Peewee came out at 7:45ish which was fun but not Raye and not a replacement for an opening act. After he was done, there was another 45 minutes of just waiting for Bruno Mars. The entertainment while waiting was pics from the audience yet our pic we submitted never showed. Bruno was very entertaining and his band was awesome but the sound quality was pathetic. There was no encore. We then sat in our cars for an hour and a half not able to move. It took another 45 minutes to just get off the base. We live an hour away. The concert was done by 10:45 and we didn't get home until 2:30am. We will never attend anything at this venue again. Worst concert experience we've ever had. 4+ A very nice, what seems to be like a classic style, college stadium with clean facilities, and a great view of mountains in the background. I've only been to one football game here, and I didn't have to deal with any of the traffic issues. More on that later. It should be noted that my experience was pretty unique, and may not reflect the experience most would have here for a football game. So the person I was with at the time was really good friends with a person who was married to on someone who worked for the football team. So we got there early and left really late after the game. Hence, we were able to avoid any traffic problems. I believe parking was free too. We were also given free admission and were able to sit up in the press box. It was a great view of the stadium, and I do believe they served alcohol up in the 'Blue & Silver' club. At some point during the game, I left the press box because I wanted a closer look at the game (at sporting events, I usually prefer being closer to the action vs. sitting up in cushy suites, etc.). It seems like you have a pretty good view anywhere you sit in the stadium. Plus, you can't complain about that fresh Colorado Springs air. Overall, I thought this was a nice stadium, and it was a pleasurable football experience. read more

Worst experience I have ever had attending a sporting event. Stadium Series 2020 was an absolute debacle at this venue. Parking a mess, totally disorganized, terrible traffic flow. Once inside, there were no markings for seating areas and no ushers. I saw several handicapped people suffering due to the unsafe mess at Falcon Stadium and it broke my heart. Sightlines for game were also terrible. I paid 150 for a seat and I could not even see the puck due to being too low. I am not surprised someone died getting out of this event. Interesting setup. Smoke from the food tents wafts across the field and totally in the view of spectators for the entire game due to lack of any surrounding walls. Stadium is set up in a giant oval and is completely open with no covered areas whatsoever. This makes for pretty good views from every seat, however. Felt very temporary as there were no dedicated vendors or even lavatories. Lots of port-o-potties to choose from, though. I loved the flyover and the parachute guys that landed on the field before the game. The military tradition and pride was a site to see. But I was still thrilled when the Utes won :) read more

Parking is $20! Getting out of the parking lot after a concert sucks as it takes forever and they send you out the south gate. If you, can park near the entrance to the dirt/pavement road. Plan to tailgate or leave early to beat traffic. They do not take Discover Card at the beer booths. Acoustics suck. read more

I really love this stadium. First off, free parking during a football game. It is a great place for a tailgate. I love the mountain view. The stadium doesn't really have a bad seat. There are lots of vendors around the stadium as well. I have been to a game a few times here, and it takes a bit of a drive to get to the stadium from the Academy entrance, but it is easy access in and out. Just a fun time here. read more

For a small school, Falcon Stadium still gives you the feeling of big-time college football. In fact, it's the largest stadium in the MWC after SDSU (who plays in an NFL stadium). There's free parking, a ton of tailgating, and great mountain scenery. In addition, there's always some entertainment before the game (cadets marching on the field, the mascot parachuting in with the game ball, flyovers from various AF aircraft). Falcon stadium is a beautiful spot nested into one of the hills on the Air Force Academy base. The video screen has been newly renovated. There are plenty of seats (although for Army/Navy games you should buy tickets early). Great parking area for tailgating, really enjoy the atmosphere. The pregame activities are awesome, and it's fun supporting the cadets who work so hard to become future officers in our Air Force. The Falcon Club is amazing as well, and if you get a chance it's definitely worth it to try and watch a game from there. Enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather there! read more
