Sonya was a lovely innkeeper, friendly, but not overbearing. Unlike our food choices in NB, the…read moreB&Bs were excellent, better than several I have stayed in in Ireland. Sonya was fine with us checking in early, a request I made via email. Her home is very clean and spacious. While she collects antiques, there was nothing old and stuffy about the decor. A nice common area with a drink fridge was a good touch. Our room, the Silver Maple was very comfortable with a queen bed and a twin bed. I slept well even though the mattress was a bit stiff. I am not always a fan of the claw-foot tub because it can be awkward, but ours was outfitted with a nice shower curtain and a shelf for soaps. Hot water was in abundance as well as water pressure. The bath had a fan and was newly redone. All in all very, very nice. No air conditioning, but not needed when we were there. A fan was provided and that worked just fine. Breakfast choices were fairly extensive, but I chose a light breakfast which was essentially granola and yogurt with fruit. The fruit was deliciously fresh, very good variety. My mother chose a somewhat pedestrian vacationer's breakfast which was eggs and bacon. I think I would have opted for the strawberry french toast or the intriguing fruit omelet, but I was trying to 'be good.' The Maple Grove Inn is located a in the small but very quaint historic village of Riverside-Albert. Sonya is a first-time innkeeper and you would never know it! I can't believe they just opened. I am sure it will only continue to evolve and grow, but it was perfect as it was. Go and support Sonya and Jeff in their new venture.

I can't think of anything I would change about this B&B: lovely location, welcoming hosts,…read moredelicious breakfast, beautifully decorated rooms. We enjoyed an evening under the stars while seated around a campfire in the backyard. As usual the hosts had thought of everything - comfy Adirondack chairs, cozy quilts to keep away the chill. Everything on the breakfast menu sounded delicious - my husband and I decided the share the seafood omelet and the raspberry French toast so that we each could get some savory and some sweet - I recommend both! They serve dinner, but only with 24 hours notice, so we were sorry not to be able to try this. Otherwise the closest nice restaurant is in Alma, about a 20 minute drive.

I booked two rooms - a single on the first floor for myself and a double on the second floor for my…read moreteenage kids. The double was a much larger room with a kitchenette and the single doesn't have a microwave or a second sink. Both rooms have keurigs and daily towel service. I brought my small dog and a lot of people brought dogs but you didn't find piles anywhere everyone cleans up well. Property is well maintained. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the beds are perfectly fine. I'm sure they got new mattresses after the previous reviews - 11years ago. I sleep on a tempurpedic mattress at home because I have a lot of back issues and I was here for 4 nights with no issues. The views are beautiful and there's chairs by the water to sit and watch the tides. Staff are exceptional.

Overpriced but I guess you are paying for the view. A three night stay cost me $517.00. The inn…read morelooks cute from the exterior and the property is well maintained and VERY quiet at night. The attached souvenir shop is nice but a bit overpriced. I bought a Tshirt at the shop in Fundy National Park for less that I would have at the hotel shop. The staff is nice and the hotel is within walking distance of all eateries. I stayed in an upper level room and had a nice view of the bay. There are no elevators, so if you stay upstairs, be prepared to climb some wooden steps with all your luggage in tow. The rooms are extremely small, outdated and do not appear very clean. The A/C worked but did not cool the room very well. I had to open the window to make the room more comfortable while sleeping. Its a good thing the night time temperatures were mild, otherwise, I think it would not have been very comfortable to sleep. The beds were comfortable but the pillows small and flat. The staff brings fresh towels daily, however, they do not make up the beds....all they did was throw the sheet and blanket over the pillows and called it "done up." There was a keureg coffee maker, which I did not use because i'm not a coffee drinker. There was no fridge or microwave in the room, so I was unable to bring leftovers back to my room to snack on. If you share a room with a friend, be VERY comfortable around that friend because there is very little bathroom privacy. The bathroom door was frosted but not enough for privacy..... I could literally see my husband sitting on the toilet through the frosted bathroom door glass as well as see his private areas through the barely frosted glass door. It was kind of gross because I like my privacy when I use the bathroom and I felt very uncomfortable during my three night stay. Seriously......WHO puts a see through frosted door on a bathroom!?? Oh yeah....that would be the Alpine Inn!!
