It's is a giant travel center with 100 gas pumps and a store that easily rivals the size of a Target. The selection is overwhelming in the best way possible. They have everything from rows of candy, jerky, and fresh-roasted nuts to warm brisket sandwiches, fresh fudge, and endless other treats. They have clothes and sporting equipment and tots and other stuff too. Pretty sure only about 1% of the total food offerings could be considered healthy, but they sure are good! Between the hot food counters, novelty snacks, and merchandise, it is nearly impossible to leave empty-handed. We ended up buying several hundred dollars of pure joy on this trip. They did kick out tiny dog out who was in a backpack but I goes those are the hygiene rules. No star deduction. If you are driving through Texas and need fuel, snacks, or just a unique road trip experience, stopping at Buc-ee's is mandatory.

You can get all sorts of craft sodas from brands like Dublin and Maine Root. They have an excellent selection of beer, soda, vapes, ice cream, and so much more. This shop has even come in clutch for grocery emergencies. Unfortunately, the staff here are NPCs. I have never had a pleasant (or negative, to be fair) moment with them. Also, this is the most expensive gas in our area. As a result, we only really come here when we want snacks, candy, soda, or need something quick. But when we do, it's always fun to see what they have in stock.

Everything moves quickly, the food is hot, and there are enough options that everyone can find something they want. Add in the jerky counter, bakery items, fudge, roasted nuts, fountain drinks and snacks, and you've basically got road-trip heaven. The place was busy, but it's organized, clean and surprisingly efficient considering the number of people coming through. A racial slur was said repeatedly to an employee by someone without the skin qualifications to use the word in question. This incredible professional KEPT A STRAIGHT FACE and ended the situation promptly which deserves a medal in my opinion. She was amazing and classy. I hope this toothless uneducated woman never comes back to harass the amazing staff that works here.
