Once upon a time a stage 4 cancer patient made an appointment with this doctor. After the…read moreappointment the doctor said "follow me" so I could be led to the infusion area. I open the door and he had "bolted" off waaaaaaay ahead of me. I didn't know which way to go. I chose a direction. As I hobbled about 25 feet he then came "flying" around the corner. No eye contact was made as he blew by me. Moral of the story; respect stage 4 cancer patients and people in general. Bed side manner is MOST important. Very negative behavior. Trying to let me know that you disapproved of me or something I said? I would be totally ashamed of myself if I treated a stage 4 cancer patient in this manner. Update: This team ended our doctor/ patient relationship with a 45 day notice. He stated that I had disrupted patients and their team during my visit(s). I only had ONE visit. I got along well with other patients e.g. showing a patient and his wife a video of my 19 year old bird playing. I replied with a very detailed email about the negative dynamics that had transpired between me and their team. Oubre was immediately FIRED via this email. Here are a couple of the dynamics I listed. (1) Before my first and ONLY visit with your team I had a few conversations with your bookeeper. During our last conversation she told me what my balance would be for my first visit. She then said "can you pay for it?" I found that to be VERY insulting and inappropriate. No one has ever asked me that. In fact that was some of the info I shared with your staff during my first visit. That definitely was a "deal breaker" as far as patient relations was concerned. I only came to my first appointment because Dr. Oubre was in the area. Where is the logic and tact in asking that question? When the patient comes into your office and they can't pay (before) their visit then they don't get any service. Simple as that. No need to demean the patient. (2) I had to fill out a load of paperwork during my first visit. I told your team that I had already filled out the paperwork. Your team said I had not. Well last week I found the email and documents that I had already filled out last year. I forwarded the original email to your team last week. No one let me know that they received it so I had to inquire about it to get a response. Respond to emails when you receive them. Patients would like to know. (3) When I talked to your staff last she or someone on your team had my next infusion/ Xgeva injection scheduled one month early. LUCKY I CALLED IN TO CHECK ON IT and change it.

We are grateful for the excellent care Dr Oubre provided to us. He took the time to answer all of…read moreour concerns and really put our minds at ease. My wife came out of her scare just fine and we highly recommend Dr Oubre!
