It has a large car park on the front and a big shop as you walk in which then leads to the growing area. There is a little café in the grounds where you are able to sit out on a fine day serving some nice food. I have bought pre-planted pots for presents and bird seed and nuts for our garden birds. They had a huge selection of bulbs this autumn. It is a suitable place to go to buy rather unusual presents.

The clothing section is really good with gorgeous matching outdoor sets for kids; raincoat, wellies, brollie, hat, gloves and scarf! The Pet Section is well layed out with small animals, an aviary and an aquatic section. There are lots of children's toys available including some really lovely wooden ones that can sometimes be quite difficult to find. At Christmas their display of decorations is fantastic and it really is quite difficult to go and look without buying lots of new things! There is a good cafe that has highchairs and is really family friendly.

The Wyevale is a good size, with plenty of outdoor plants and a large indoor section with a cafe and toilets to visit. The plants from Wyevale can be quite expensive but they tend to be good quality and last longer than other big brand garden centres. They're only really beaten by nurseries and you can't get the choice under one roof. Great for a stroll round on a Sunday and you can also have a bite to eat!

A quick tour of the walled garden, where the cafe is sited, revealed that most of the ingredients I had eaten were sourced only a few yards away. The plants are of superb quality and generally of a good size compared to other nurseries charging similar prices. Additionally, the staff are exceptionally approachable and knowlegeable and are quite happy to take the time and trouble to find out the answers to your questions if they don't know off the top of their heads. As regards Christmas trees, I'm a bit of a tree snob and it has to be real for me! Quite honestly, I can't imagine buying my tree anywhere else - I've looked elsewhere and ended up coming back here a few times, so this year I'm going to save myself time and effort and just stick to this place.

The staff are really knowledgable so if like me you are a bit useless when it comes to plants they will help you to locate what you need and tell you whether it should be in light or shade etc! the prices are about average, but it is nice to buy from a firm which is not a large chain! There is loads of free parking on site, and if you buy heavy stuff they will carry it to your car and help you load it in.
