This is an excellent Garden Centre that stocks everything that you might need for your garden plus a whole lot more! The clothing section is really good with gorgeous matching outdoor sets for kids; raincoat, wellies, brollie, hat, gloves and scarf! The Pet Section is well layed out with small animals, an aviary and an aquatic section. There are lots of children's toys available including some really lovely wooden ones that can sometimes be quite difficult to find. At Christmas their display of decorations is fantastic and it really is quite difficult to go and look without buying lots of new things! There is a good cafe that has highchairs and is really family friendly. read more

This is a lovely garden centre. I visited here just before Christmas and bought my beautiful Christmas tree which did not drop one needle! A wonderful array of christmas decorations. Their plant selection is second to none and we have bought some beautiful box plants from there. The real winner for Garsons though is there farm shop. The selection of fresh olives, fresh coffee beans, frozen foods are wonderful additions to the traditional foods you'd expect to find. A large selection of cheese and large selection of pies make you decide to hold off on your dinner plans for that evening as you would quite fancy a steak and kidney pie instead!! A large quantity of oils and wines as well as cakes are also there to tempt you! It really is quite hard to walk out of this shop without some yummy treat of some sort! read more

I love Garsons Garden Centre, situated on the road out towards Wickham and the Hundred Acre Wood. It has a lovely cafe situated on the 1st floor, which serves hot and cold drinks and hot food and sandwiches (something for everyone). Its quite spacious inside with a lovely patio area outside which is a real sun trap during the summer months, overlooking the plants and shrubs with a fabulous little play area for your little darlings. The plants are very reasonably priced with a fabulous choice, it also sells seasonal decorations (halloween, christmas, easter etc) and gifts for him and her, with a gorgeous local supplier food shop. The only downside is dont expect to be in and out quickly, I spend hours once I am there!! read more

Garsons is mainly a garden centre with a wide variety of plants, and ready planted selections ie hanging baskets and herb gardens. Quite pricey compared to places like homebase but I've found the staff to be very helpful. The main reaso I go to Garsons is for the farm shop. They sell all kind of local and specialist seasonal produce and show the 'food miles' of each item. Their frozen, unbaked pan au chocolat are the best I've tasted outside of Paris, although you do have to bake them yoursef! There's also a homewares shop, but theres nothing that unusual in there anymore. The coffee shop is a bit overrated, given the lovely range of produce available in the farm shop. It tends to do the same old sarnies and cake of every other cafe I've ever been to-a shame really. Garsons crowning glory is their chrismas selection. Come December you can find lights, trees and decorations-real and artificial, and there's a lovely Christmassy atmosphere. Outside theres also a clothes shop for some reason, and a pet and fish shop. The guys in the fish centre are actually pretty knowlagable and are happy to answer questions about any tanks or ponds you have. read more

This usually becomes a destination on a Sunday drive out around Wickham, Bishops Waltham and surrounding areas. Good but expensive cafe. Excellent specialist food department, I buy the pickles and sauces etc, usually the ones with a generous ammount of chillies in them. Pet centre, I adore the pet rats. Loads of garden stuff, as you would expect, some bargains and some pricey. Worth a visit. read more

There is now a Butcher's - Owton's situated on the premises. Some of the items in the food area you would say are over priced, especially sauces/dressings however you are paying for handmade items, so it probably is not. They have quite a good selection of frozen ready meals now. read more

I love Garsons, the plants are fantastic quality and there's always masses to choose from. It's all spaciously laid out and relaxing to browse round. The indoor section has gifts and household items and is also lovely. We got a barbecue there last summer and the staff were very helpful and gave us good advice. It's the only place I go at Christmas for decorations as the selection is amazing. The farm shop is a cut above the rest, they source from local producers and it's all very tempting! The last time I went they had a petting farm which my kids absolutely adored. Well worth a visit! read more

Love Garsons, we go there at least twice a week the vast show of plants and the new remarkable goods for sale are a must, we spent well over three hours having a good scout around may be some items can be pricey but who cares when you get value for money. We always take the weight off our feet and visit the very spacey restaurant you are spoilt for choice when on the entrance you come to face to face with beautiful cakes and biscuits, sandwiches, and if you want a hot meal may be breakfast, or the excellent hot dinners that make you mouth water just looking the chiefs put on a great display and for what we see I believe the young chief was ( Jasmine, and the head was Chrisie ) I did ask first before printing. All the members of staff were doing a great job making sure every thing was spick and span, always so clean there was never dull moment when in Garsons you could spend all day there,and taking the children is a blessing they have so much fun with activities on some days. OH! and I must include the wonderful butchers go and look I bet you will never leave with an empty basket we will visit many times more cant wait for the Christmas display in the shop but that's to happen then the fun begins. read more
