My mom broke her hip in June of 2024. After her surgery and hospital stay, we needed to find a…read moretransitional care place for her to do her rehabilitation before going back home. We chose Ecumen in North Branch and we were so glad we did! The staff were kind, compassionate and stayed on top of mom's care. My mom actually had a fall while there and the clinical director immediately called to let us know what happened. We chose to have an ambulance come and take her to the hospital for thorough examination. Thankfully everything was fine! The best part of Ecumen North Branch for our family was the SENSE OF COMMUNITY they provided. Everyone was talking together at meal times. Staff stopped to talk to clients regularly and seemed to genuinely care about how their day was going. Staff even offered us coffee and showed us where the treat baskets were. It was like a big family! I think this is so critical when clients and family are feeling discouraged, depressed and displaced. A moment of care goes a long way! We had someone in the family stop in every day to check on mom and the care she was receiving. We were never disappointed with the care she received. Thank you Ecumen North Branch for getting us all through a very difficult time of transition. We would choose you again in a heartbeat!

Poor care, lack quality. Don't follow service agreements. Medication mishaps (pills not given, on…read morefloor, under chair, in hall). Narcotic found by staff member in bed of loved one during dying process. Neglect, times where being taken to the bathroom was well over 6,7,8 hours. Was on a 2-hr schedule. Some staff are snotty and sassy and don't care that there is camera in room. Do your job whether someone is watching or not. Small handful of staff are great. They know what caring, compassionate care means. Staff shortages makes this facility a scary place. Not comforting to know your love one may not receive the care they require. Up the points but don't provide the services. Below average food and service. Asking to receive condiments or creamer is difficult for staff. The big dog is not on board to fix problems. More concerned about too many emails flooding inbox. Get your staff on board to provide topnotch care for our elderly who deserve it. Good luck getting in building after hours. Nobody answers their wall phone. Waited with EMS staff. Very unnerving. Facility is nice and kept clean, unfortunately the care is not there. At the time when your loved one passes, don't look for any compassion for family. Door was not locked after they took my loved one out of room, knowone called to say they had completed post-mortum care and whether any family wanted to come say goodbye. My moms facility had asked us, also had rose in room as well as battery operated candle as a nice touch for family. Not here, they were hauling bed out next day. Business is business I guess.
