You guys went above and beyond all expectations for our trip last weekend!! There was a little hiccup but your accommodations exceeded our expectations!! The men running the build at the park even went as far as gifting my kids with stuffed animals because the amusement park was closed and they found our we were there for Kayla's 6th birthday. We had such a blast that we are skipping the cabin and staying at your place this weekend and probably the rest of the weekends in this month. See you soon!!!!!!

Wouldn't even give us a deal! Even Garland has a Twighlight special! No way would we spend 70.00 for 9 holes after spending what we did today!!! They just LOST business!! Unbelievable, I have never played a golf course that doesn't work with their PAYING customers!!! NEVER! This is an up north course that thinks they are Treetops .. lol... Even Treetops works with their paying customers. We have been coming here for years. WTH are they thinking? They must have more money than they no what to do with! That's okay, because there are a ton more golf courses around. I loved Cedar Valley, bilut I can always find another one.

The course was beautiful and the staff were also very kind. After our morning of golfing we stumbled inside for some lunch. We had an amazing waitress, who seemed to be a college student. She was very well put together, confident, and orderly. She also smelled like Chanel. Our lunch was amazing and I made sure to leave her an epic tip! Thank you Forrest Dunes! -Debbie

Dunes course is just a typical resort style layout. A few good holes but other than that nothing special. Dunes Course - tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. The Loop is a total dump. Total goat ranch. Only thing good about it is the architecture of playing it backwards but that's it. Both courses are overly priced. Any normal sized city these courses are $50 TOPS!! Gnats all over the loop makes golfing unbearable. Divots all over the course and dead spots. You better pray your drive in the fairway finds a piece of grass. They don't offer water on the course and don't even give you a .25cent bottle of water before the round. You have to purchase a $4 bottle. Rocks in all traps on both courses. I suggest cheating and pulling your ball out of the bunkers so you don't ruin your clubs. For the price they charge you would think the traps would be rockless. No one rakes the traps and even maintenance does rack the bunkers before first tee off. Over hyped and over priced. Staff weren't friendly at all. Starter said " people go to Arcadia for the views and here for the golf" Guy must get paid every time he says that. Go to Arcadia for a better experience. Course, lodging, food, staff and price are way better at Arcadia.

I've been going to Lakewood Shores for a number of years, and have noticed many changes over the…read moreyears. The lodging accommodations are old and tired, and although you can see some minor improvements in the lodging buildings, there is much more to do. Just old, tired, a bit musty, and in need of some rehab effort. The TV in the common area between the two bedrooms couldn't get any smaller. It sits in a cabinet that won't take a bigger set, so get rid of the cabinets and install a larger and better quality TV. The dining facility is pretty good, and food offerings on the menu are tasty and fairly priced for a golf lodge. The Courses: they offer three different courses, with their signature course being the Gailes. This course has degraded over the years to the point that it's almost no longer fun to play. The T-boxes, fairways and greens pretty much suck for upkeep and appearance. They for sure need more water and soil conditioning. There is one par 3 hole in particular that has an elevated T-box, and to get up to it, you have to "try" and climb some railroad tie type steps with grass in between to get to the top. They are crumbling, overgrown, out of alignment and just plain suck. They are DANGEROUS! A path to the side of these steps to avoid the steps is worn into the hillside, and it's slippery and equally as dangerous....no rails, ropes, etc. to hang onto. I've seen people fall and roll down. Management has been told of this, but it's the same every year when I get up there with a large group every year. Parking: when you walk from the parking lot down some steps to get to the cart area with your clubs slung over your shoulder, again, large wooden railroad type ties with patio stone between. The ties are falling apart, the stone is sinking, and because of that, there is an exposed lip of the wood that you could easily catch your foot on and send you tumbling down the steps. Dangerous! What once was a quality golf resort to go to has fallen victim to neglect. Our group only goes back yearly because of the fair pricing, but if it weren't for that, I wouldn't go back at all, and I only have one vote On a good note, the staff is very cordial; and accommodating, but then don't you expect that anyway when you go to a gold resort? The other two courses are also in need of much TLC.

We were going to stay in a single villa but when we got to it (which seemed like a quarter mile walking from the parking lot), we were very disappointed. The fact that it was rustic was okay but we had inquired if there was a table where we could play cards in the evening and were told "yes". Well, the table was a small coffee table. The biggest problem was the bathroom shower which had a lot of mold. I attempted to call the front desk to report it but neither one of the two phones in the villa worked so I used my cell. I took a photo of the mold and requested that we be moved to the lodge. They did honor our request and the room was small but okay. When checking out the person at the front desk said that they checked out the bathroom issue that I reported and tholught it was fine. I was furious because I had a photo to prove my point and didn't like the attitude. The restaurant has a breakfast buffet but we decided to order individually. The servers don't come to your table - you go to the bar and order and pay and then someone brings your order to you. Lunch and dinner which are mediocre are served by the staff. Honestly, they need to invest some money to make improvements in the accommodations. We loved the courses but won't be returning because there is no option to stay anywhere else in that area that is decent.

It was a great choice! This was a Tuesday night in February, so we were able to get a very good price on a double queen suite. Room was clean, comfortable and no issues. We had planned to go skiing Tuesday evening but ended up at the pool with our kids. The main lodge has a decent size pool that starts indoors and continues outdoors. There is an indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub. Also there are two Saunas. The kids were enjoying themselves so much we didn't even get to go skiing! On Wednesday we got breakfast at the top of the hill. We have eaten here before and it's always been good. After breakfast we got our gear and headed to the slopes. Treetops isn't a huge hill, but for the value midweek and 3 lifts, it's was a great time. We got started right at 10am and skied until about 4pm before heading home. There was almost no traffic and it was non stop skiing. The kids loved it as well and really enjoyed the beginners terrain park they built.

The pool area was fairly clean with just a little bit of salt on the floor from people's shoes/boots. I had on flip flops, so it was ok. I enjoyed the hot tub, though it's highly chlorinated, and my favorite part was the steam room. That was very nice. They provide robes, flip flops and towels. We got scalp massages and Dazzle Dry manicures and both services were great. I especially enjoyed Emily who did my nails; she was skilled and quite pleasant to talk to. The wax dip is amazing and this Dazzle Dry polish is already lasting so much longer than regular polish. Love it. They also had really cute clothing in the lounge area - I was quite tempted by a couple of things. I would for sure return. It was such a lovely day after skiing.
