I prefer drive through car washes since they are the quickest and most convenient for me and I'm not concerned with getting every speck off my car. I've been on the hunt for a local one that actually cleans your car and doesn't cost too much. This was the first one I've tried in Santa Barbara. The most basic wash costs $10 which is more than I'm used to paying in other cities ($6-$7) but here's why: they have employees who stand at the entrance and exit to facilitate the wash. Before you enter, there's a person who sprays down your entire car with a high pressure hose. She actually took the time to spray down the extra dirty spots with dried on residue (bird poop, sap, etc.) that most auto washes wouldn't lift. The drive through itself only takes a few minutes. You drive up onto this track and put your car in neutral and it rolls you through. After the wash, they have another person who takes a minute to dry off your windshield, hood, and other wet spots. All of this without ever having to get out of the car! Realistically, you should tip these people a few dollars so your car wash is gonna cost more than $10. My car was clean to my liking but I'm still on the hunt for a local spot with similar results that costs a bit less. read more

And I watched you dry my car and tell me it was ready. Nope. Never again. The doors weren't wiped down, the front still has bug residue. Cup holders weren't even touched. I want to still like this place, I really do. But it's gone rapidly downhill the past few years and seems to only get worse. I took my car to get vacuumed and cleaned (gold level) this week and they did such a half-assed job. Dirt was still on the inside of the doors ( I wiped it off easily with a towel, which tells me they didn't even bother to wipe down the doors), I had a huge sap mark still on my windshield, and my trunk was still full of sand! I don't think they even bothered to vacuum my trunk at all. I honestly don't think they care about their job at all. Waste of time and money. They did a re-wash on my Nissan Sentra and they both addressed our concerns, the car came out looking amazing. My car came out with scratches, mud, dirt and sludge all over it. When they said "CAR READY" I looked at him and said it's done? I was in disbelief. I called to make an appointment for a mini detail. I spoke to a man who said he'd have his manager give me a call back to schedule the appointment. A short time later I spoke to a very nice man who scheduled my appointment. Upon arriving I was greeted by an employee in the detail area of the car wash. He asked if I had an appointment, I said yes and gave him my name. He asked if all I was doing was a wax (my SUV is filthy after traveling 1500 last week) I told him no, I'm here for a detail. I said that's not what I was told and I don't have an hour to wait. He said sorry and put his hands up. After driving off, I called the car wash 4 times in attempt to get a hold of someone and each time the phone just rang and rang. This car wash is under new management. It is now called Cleanwave Carwash. I paid $15.00 that said I would get my wheels cleaned and all this about having everything added to the wash and what a joke! They don't have anyone vacuum out your car anymore and you have to do that yourself, at a cost, and after I drove through the wash only one guy wiped my windows and mirrors and nothing else. My step guards were all wet and there was no one to help dry the car. This is the only option you have, so forget that. They used to employee several guys to vacuum and dry the cars all over before!! They just don't do a thorough job. I paid for a titanium wash which is I believe $30 and they hardly touched the inside of my car. It's unacceptable, there are areas in which they didn't touch at all evidenced by the debris and dust still present. I feel like they are too focused on getting cars out versus the quality of work. $30 is not cheap so I will not be returning for low quality work. I went to Fairview car wash wanting to get my mats washed, the attendant told me if I got the Titanium Wash ($30) that I get all 4 mats cleaned so I that's what I did. After They cleaned my car I'm told that they couldn't wash my mats because they didn't have their power washer and they rinsed them. Definitely disappointed in the service and quality of work I received. Mats were still dirty and not even rinsed like they said, back seat wasn't even vacuumed, I had crackers that were still on the floor and seats. For $30 I was expecting at least a decent job, but not even that. I ended up going home and vacuuming and washing my mats myself, what a waste of time and money. I only came here to quickly wash the exterior of my car and it was a pretty decent place. My car was really dirty because I hadn't driven or washed it in months so I was scared that not all of the dirt would be washed away since I only did a simple clean. However, I was really surprised because when my car came out it was SO CLEAN and SHINY and the wash only took about 5 minutes overall! However, it was difficult to enter the place because there's only one way to enter the car wash, so I got a little lost trying to find the entrance. Also, because this place also does detailed interior/exterior washes, when I was trying to leave I couldn't tell where I was suppose to go to exit because there were a bunch of cars in front blocking my path. Overall though, this is a pretty good place to get your car washed and it's not very expensive, it's just really easy to get confused when you enter and exit. read more

Fairview has a nice monthly pass, but that's about it. They never properly dry the car, and sometimes don't even get the soap off. Beyond that, they randomly close some days (even when the weather is fine) making it difficult to even justify getting the monthly pass. Educated car wash is a much better alternative. read more

I've given this place one too many chances, but no more. My car REALLY needed a bath, and since this place reopened, I had high hopes, but it was not to be. They do a MINIMAL job of 'cleaning', and I really do mean MINIMAL. The employees are simply paycheck employees: do the minimum you have to in order to just get the paycheck. Carpets still have stuff after 'vacuuming', bumpers ALWAYS have stuff on them and I have to ask for them to CLEAN off the bumpers, interior isn't always wiped down (white milk from toddler throwing his bottle OBVIOUSLY still on black interior door), to just name a few. I don't have time to do it myself, I will now look into a mobile service and pay a little more, but that's okay. If you see a review from someone with 5 stars, don't believe it. I'm guessing it's an employee, owner, or someone they've offered a discount to in order for a favorable review-I've seen it before in other service industries. Do yourself a favor, just keep driving...find another place to go, you'll be glad you did. read more

As I started before the response from an assistant manager not the actual event is what garnered the review. Since that point, (this morning) the CFO made contact with me and listened carefully to the events as they happened. He was kind, in no way defensive, and appreciative for the input.
