Absolutely ridiculous. Why not be the exeption and charge less and be the theater that people talk about for that reason. I just think that it costs more to snack than it does to attend the show is horrid. For the record, there is a little theater in Jackson, MN which runs new movies and it is cheap to attend and the concession prices are old school.

We experienced an unexpected medical emergency that required us to leave immediately. My mother, who is an emergency room physician, was called to the hospital and we were unable to stay for our movie. During a moment when we had a lot on our minds, Gavin handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and understanding. He promptly assisted us with refunding both our movie tickets and food purchases without any issues or complications. His calm and respectful approach made a difficult situation much easier to manage, and we greatly appreciated the compassion he showed. Excellent customer service is often measured by how people respond when things don't go according to plan, and Gavin represented your theater exceptionally well. He yelled at me about what pop I wanted. He said "maybe it's an upcharge" and wouldn't look it up. He told us that it didn't even matter because the prices were the same. He wouldn't tell us prices when we asked. The entire time he acted as though I was annoying him and not worth his time. Granted there is only one screen, so only one movie can be played at a time, but for the price and the grandness of the theater, I can't say I care. The candy is a little high for the size, but in relation to a big city theater, still cheap. The soft drinks were plentiful and cold and there were many other drink options as well. The only negative of the evening, was that the popcorn was stale. It was warm and buttery, just tasted like it had been reheated from a previous showing. And last, the seating, it's nothing to write home about, but still adds to the character and small town charm of the Forrest Theater. Some had scuffed backs from people putting their feet up, while others had tape holding the vinyl together, but all in all, I enjoyed seeing a film in this old-style theater.
