One time I showed up unannounced and she had gone to the bathroom and was completely neglected by the staff. For a much more reasonable price, Clayton Comfort Care takes exceptionally good care of her. She was always well cared for, very clean and well fed. In the many, many times I have been to see her, unannounced, there hasn't been a single problem. I highly, highly recommend Clayton Comfort Care. Do not move in to this facility should you or your loved ones need Memory Care. The staff isn't trained and the residents suffer neglect. Most of the time when you enter Memory Care, the residents are watching TV and the staff are on their phones sitting behind them. We lasted 2 months in Memory Care before having to move out to find somewhere safe for our loved one to be. Assisted Living is good there, but don't plan to transition to MC...at least not in the Fulton location. We were so disappointed, but it was clear that both the leadership team and the staff are lacking in their ability to ensure proper care for those residents unable to speak for themselves. And on a side note, the chef can't cook and the food is terrible.

The staff, which is heavily loaded administratively and has few people providing care does not communicate. They refuse to follow doctors recommendations and orders, fail to give medications and have even given wrong medications on several occasions.

My husband was admitted to Hillhaven on the 14th of July, 2024…read more One month later, he went into inpatient hospice, largely due to a head injury sustained at Hillhaven, that stopped his cancer treatment and rendered him incapable of giving informed consent. Nobody on the staff informed me of his accident, the details of which are still unclear, and changed a couple of times. My husband called me twice; the second time, while I was getting dressed and ready to go to the home after realizing something was VERY wrong. It was only then that I spoke to a staff member who took the phone from my husband and informed me that he had a fall. When were they going to let me know???? When I got there, I was not allowed to talk to the doctor, who was not on the premises, and they refused to call 911 so that he could receive treatment for his concussion. He was in an altered state, was bandaged on his arm, and had a huge lump on his forehead. In the meantime, remarks were made by the staff about the difficulty of dealing with Alzheimer's patients. My husband DID NOT HAVE ALZHEIMER'S disease. TWO HOURS LATER, they agreed to call 911, and my husband was transported to the hospital of our choice. By this time, I had packed his belongings and was ready to take him to the hospital myself. He spent several days in ICU, then was on the critical care ward. His immunology treatments were suspended due to the nature of his head injury. He probably would have died due to the aggressive nature of his cancer, but he spent the last five weeks of his life incapable of communicating effectively due to the concussion. He passed away in inpatient hospice August 22. I am more than convinced that this accident hastened his demise, and left him incapable of being able to communicate with friends and family in the final weeks of his life. I definitely do not recommend this facility.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the care my husband received at the Adventist…read moreRehabilitation Center in Silver Spring.  Everyone is caring and focused on getting the patient healthy and maintaining a stress free environment so you can focus your energies on healing.  They all work as a team.  Dr. Thorpe, in addition to being an extremely skilled physician, he is thoughtful, caring and attentive. He makes you feel as if you're his only patient taking whatever time is needed to answer any questions and keep you informed of the treatment plans. My husband came to the center unable to walk because of spine surgery and with a diagnosis of a blood disorder.  As a result of Dr. Thorpe's thoroughness, it turned out that there was no blood disorder.  The usual blood tests provided inaccurate results. The physical and occupational therapists were equally caring and skilled. The therapies had him walking and slowly becoming self sufficient. The nursing care cannot be praised enough.They were always responsive to his needs and often checked in just to see how he was doing. Our care navigator, Ms. Enitan Macarthy worked to maintain quality care and made the transition home seamless. We owe a debt of gratitude to the entire staff for getting my husband functioning well enough to come home.
