Great location for where we had to go within San Antonio. All our destinations were nearby and there were so many restaurants within a minute walk like Chili's, Taco Cabana, Sonic, Cinnabon, and others. Also across the street was HEB Grocery and Texas BBQ. This hotel has free breakfast every morning. I had to dock them 1 star because we had issues with turning on the TV, faulty electrical, and wifi issues on a few occasions. read more

We recently stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites San Antonio NE/Schertz. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I used points to reserve one night. The staff was very kind and polite in answering my questions. The hotel was clean and also provided a simple complimentary breakfast. This hotel has laundry and dryer facilities on the first floor, and we were able to use a credit card for payment. Overall, it's a good place to stay. If we are visiting San Antonio, we will choose this hotel to stay again. read more

Pretty good. Pros: * Location, right off I35. * Price. $30-150 less than hotels in San Antonio & it's not that far away... 17-ish miles... so consider staying here, if you have the choice. For me it was $117/nt but with taxes it's $137... that's everywhere though. * Pleasant & professional staff. * Clean room, comfy beds. * Lots of good, bright lighting. * Fitness center (24/7) & indoor pool. * Good, clean m/w & fridge. Cons: * Room's a bit outdated... no USB ports, desk chair is hard to adjust to the right height to comfortably use at the desk, TV has a lot of channels but the remote is a bit wonky & I couldn't choose a channel & had to slowly surf through each time, which was annoying for 2-days. * Breakfast is dismal. My pre-made, awful tasting, fiesta omelet tasted like it had raw pancake batter in the middle. The rest of it was overcooked. I wish they'd just serve plain scrambled eggs, since not everyone likes red/green peppers, let alone at breakfast. Bacon was paper thin & cooked super hard. Sadly, hotel breakfasts in general, have gone way, way down in quality since Covid. * To that end, the wall unit was tough to adjust, too. A/C-heat was either too high or low & I had to regularly shift back & forth between temps. It also runs very noisily, which is odd for a FF Inn. * Lots of parking but not in front, mostly in the back of the hotel. I found the back door hard or impossible to use my car key to get through every single time. 50% of the time I had to walk around to the front entrance as I couldn't get back into the bldg. It was very annoying, particularly as guests & employees alike sit at the bench right outside the door & smoke. It's gross, particularly as I was never able to get back in easily & spent 2-min breathing in smoke while trying to open the door. I wish they'd move the bench away from the door for guests like me with asthma who try to avoid all tabacco addicts. Good to know: * Laundry room on 1st floor near the back door with 2 machines each. Old machines, but they're clean... 1 didn't work for me so I had to shift clothing to the 2nd washer. They're odd in that you need to use a credit card to pay & it needs to be inserted upside down. It's $1.75/each load & as an FYI, the dryer runs hot. All in all, it's okay. I'd stay again but would be happy to try something else, too, although it might be hard to find anything under $150 that isn't something that will make you run for the hills. 3* out of 5. read more

Coincidentally the camera was turned off during the stealing of ours and another gentleman's taillights from the truck. Cops cannot do anything due to their being "no surveillance". Coincidentally the cameras are now back on and working. Just a heads up. Stay at your own risk. read more

Rude, clueless desk staff, overpriced as it's just the same as a truck stop motel. You have to get up a 5 if you want real breakfast and the COFFEE is bad too! Stayed here for the first time, but for only one night, due to a business meeting the next day in which we rented a conference room. The king room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it I was a quiet stay. There is a Chili's next door which is great. The staff was very nice, and they took great care of us during our meeting ensuring we had drinks and snacks. We did enjoy breakfast there as well which was very good. Though I mainly stay at Holiday Inn when I travel, this was a nice stay and I would recommend it, if you have no preference on hotels. read more

Such an old hotel, feels like a motel. There's no usb chargers. The carpets feel sticky especially under the table. The rooms need a hard update. The breakfast is okay. The staff was friendly and we had a quite stay so that's good. The location is great. To summarize it....the price isn't worth the quality of the room. read more

What a great place to stay. I spend over 135 nights a year in hotels and all of them have issues. It is the people that make the difference and this hotel has them. The GM is fantastic and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. This enthusiasm feeds over to her staff. I truly recommend anyone and everyone to stay at this location. Horrible visit, had my anxiety out the window. Associate "Roland" happen to be the rudest and unprofessional person I have encountered in a long time. I was not told of incidentals then I was charged three times the amount I reserved it for. The breakfast was good and the amenities were nice, room was a little small for a double. read more

Checked into fair field after a long 8 hour drive. Madison checked us in and was extremely helpful and demonstrated the utmost southern hospitality. She was very informative and so patient with answering the questions that we asked. 10/10 would recommend this hotel over any others in the area. read more

Sad to give a Marriott hotel a poor review. Since hosting my wedding at my local Marriott these be the only hotels I stay in when I travel (no AirBNB). Have stayed at this specific location twice. Was less than thrilled with the last stay. Since the start of the pandemic it appears that all Marriott locations have reduced housekeeping to every other day for some unbeknownst (environmental friendly) reason which I hate. Our last stay at this location we were only afforded one housekeeping day (the day before checkout). Always super excited to come back to a freshly made bed and clean towels but was super disappointed when I entered my room and was met with neither DESPITE the original request and calling the day off as a "reminder." Garbage. Next visit to San Antonio I'll be sure to schedule my stay at a different location. read more

Very clean, nice hotel, amazing staff. In town for a friends military promotion ceremony. When we wanted to get some family together in the breakfast area for pizza, the bent over backwards. The staff put our drinks in the employee fridge then brought us plates, napkins and cups. read more

Good location behind Chili's as well as easy access to I-35 & the plenty of shopping across the street, very friendly front desk staff as well as housekeepers that are pretty thorough in their roles. In addition, the morning breakfast choices are pretty good, and the gym area was sufficient (two treadmills, one bench press area with free weights). The WiFi access was reliable as well, yet you'll have to remember that it runs in 24-hour cycles and will cut off from the time that you logged on to the network from the previous day. I stayed a total of four nights, and found the room to have been quite comfortable. Aside from one small room incident where the GM (Mr. Corona) remedied right away (electrical circuit breaker), the stay would have been as perfect as it gets. This really deserves to be 4.5 stars, yet I'll have to go with 4 for now. I'll certainly stay here again as well as recommend this location if needed good access to San Antonio and New Braunfels. read more

We had booked a night at another hotel chain and left after 20 mins because of how terrible that place was. Fairfield Inn accepted us with smiling faces and apologized for our time at the different hotel chain. They were AMAZING. I couldn't recommend a better hotel than this one, it had all the amenities and such a great staff. We even booked an extra night because of how good of an experience we had. This is a simple hotel but the rooms were comfortable and very clean. The lobby is modern and I found the desk staff to be orderly and very attentive to my needs. The complimentary breakfast was certainly adequate and always in place a the set schedule. The workout room was well appointed and always clean, I never saw anyone else in it, so not sure how much use it got. The machines were modern and there was a good selection of weights. The hotel is very convenient to food, see 3009 at HEB, and parking was adequate. We stayed for about a week and really enjoyed ourselves. read more

My family and I stayed here for the weekend. From the time we walked inthe door every one was so friendly. The staff was super nice. Our room was amazing! We had the queen suite with the sofa bed, it was so cozy! We had 2 tvs in our room, so the kids can watch what they wanted. The room was super clean and had a fresh smell to it :). The breakfast was amazing with alot of different options ex: scrambled eggs with bacon, or waffles, or cereal, bagels, toast, fresh fruit, gravy biscuit, and oatmeal. It's across the street from an HEB plus, so we stopped there for snacks and some toiletries. It was 20 mins away from Schlitterbahn, Comal River and San Marcos outlet. We would definitely stay again next time!! Also we were able to swap our used towels with fresh ones without anyone getting an attitude;). read more

This place was convenient for us, in a comfortable location while visiting the San Antonio area from DFW. The employees were attentive, especially a front desk agent named Sarah who helped facilitate an early check-in. The room was also a nice surprise. Not only did we receive double queen beds with a TV, but the room also came with an adjoining spot with a fold-out sofa and a second TV. This hotel made visiting San Antonio a blast! This location is close enough to New Braunfels, San Marcos, San Antonio - we made this our home base when we spent a weekend visiting all of the above. Did the management change? I have stayed at this hotel at least once a month for the last three years but my last two visits have been really bad. Rooms not ready. The front desk staff has changed and they have no clue they are in the hospitality business. Today they were actually folding bath towels at the front desk. For reelz?????? Did not stay here due to needing to stay at another hotel where family was staying. Didn't cancel till night before even though Fairfield's cancellation policy is 2 days prior or you get charged. They however didn't so I give 5 stars for customer service. The lady I talked to was very nice. We will be sure to use them next time in town! read more
