The pool was disgusting but the rooms were good and the staff were nice and also the food at the breakfast counter was good

I wish I would have looked at the reviews before booking. Hotel is old and not kept up with. The whole second floor carpet was filthy. Doesn't seem anyone had vacuumed in years. Walked into the room and the heat was on 76...but it was 90 outside. It smelt horrible and musty. There was still trash in the trash can. Breakfast wasn't ideal and was empty of almost all food...an hour and a half after opening. Coffee wasn't ready. When we asked the staff if there was more coming he said he would get to it. Once food was "ready", it was ice cold (omelet). Washer was broken and we were in town for a soccer tournament, so had to "do laundry" in our tub. Took the uniforms downstairs to dry them in the dryer...and it broke, after paying. Guess you get what you pay for. Only thing good I can say is the front desk and maintenance person were super friendly. read more

When I walked in and saw cat treats at the check in desk and the floor was sticky I should have known to run away! My room had no lamp shade, broken a/c unit, open food and toothpicks on the floor and in hair and a standing brown puddle in the bathtub. I left and went to another hotel. Hotel was really nice when we arrived. Hotel lobby was clean and our front desk agent that checked us in was so friendly!! Our room was really clean and nice. We checked out the pool which was also nice. Small, but it was nice. Outdoor area had a grill and patio tables. This hotel was very clean! Only issues I had, our TV didn't work, every channel was fuzzy and traveling with a teenager made that a little bit of a bummer. Also, our phone in the room did not work so we couldn't contact front desk or anything. We only stayed one night but still, it's amenities we paid for and did not receive. Other than that it was a nice and well kept hotel. read more

The staff was professional and courteous. I enjoyed my stay except for a few issues. 1. The wall fixture was missing it was just a bulb in a socket. 2. The AC was spotty. This was probably due to it being on a motion sensor. I woke up several times during the night sweating. I know it was cold outside but I like to sleep in a cold room. I found a workaround. Bedbugs! Manager refused to give refund even after I sent photos of the bedbugs. He gave 50,000 points and refused to refund. I had to buy new luggage, have my computer swapped out, wash all of my clothes and dry for two cycles, bag up my shoes, etc. What a nightmare! I could not risk taking them home with me. Manager was rude and denied they had bedbugs, even after I provided photos. DON'T STAY HERE! read more

Brian went above and beyond at check in. He was very friendly and extremely helpful. When we got to the room, we were having problems with the television. The staff led by John are super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. From the check in, to the cleanliness of our room, hot breakfast- everything was superb! Everyone, I mean everyone was very helpful and friendly. The place doesn't have a great view but the drive to Jonesboro was nice- country, fresh air. This is a very new, very nice hotel to stay at in Jonesboro. There seems to be a scattering of places along the expressway and into town, but from what I've heard of other experiences -- this is the place to stay if your travels bring you to Jonesboro. I was here for 3 nights and felt extremely comfortable and at home. The gym has all-new equipment and the rooms are tastefully, yet modernly designed. Breakfast was hearty and included hot items as well as your standard breakfast fare. Staff was friendly and helpful. read more

This is a great hotel. There's a small indoor pool and gym; a full breakfast buffet; a guest washer/dryer that accepts credit or debit cards; comfy beds and SUPER sweet staff! They were so accommodating and pleasant and after hours and hours on the road we needed a smile at check-in! Stephanie was fit the bill perfectly! When we left the Hampton from that bad experience ..we called to make a reservation here and the girl at the desk was very nice and gave us a room for a lot less and a lot better then the other hotel. When we arrived we were greeted friendly and a happy employee. The rooms are great. Marriott quality for certain. This hotel has a wonderful feel and great rooms and quiet. read more

This hotel appears to be fairly new. Our reception at the front desk was excellent and the person most accommodating. We received a room on the first floor. The lobby was clean and the interior decorating very nice. There is a breakfast bar behind the lobby and on certain evening the hotel has small food and drink items available, as was the day we stayed. The room was large with nice clean furnishings. The mattress was a little soft however it was satisfactory. The bathroom was very clean, adequate towels and amenities. The TV sets were in perfect working order. Check out was professional. The pool area which small was nice and clean. This is a nice hotel to use in Jonesboro and we will be going back. read more

Lovely experience here, there were a few small flaws but nothing fatal. The employees were all very sweet and try their best to make your stay the best. Our room was nice with comfy beds and had an a.c. that actually worked well. The only problems with the room was on the second day our room was not cleaned even though we did not have the "do not disturb sign up,but we called down and the front desk man(Randy I believe was his name) came and gave us new towels & emptied the trash within minutes of us asking. The other problem was there was no actual breakfast when we went down there to get the complimentary breakfast they advertise, a little boy had asked for milk and the hotel said they were out. I can't help but wonder how they were out. read more

We made a reservation through priceline. A lady at the front desk was kind. We checked in our room and it was absolutely filthy. I'm the last guy to complain about small things. We have a kid with severe peanut allergies. If you understand this then you can imagine our worry about a room that's not properly cleaned and having an exposure. There was candy and trash all over the floor. Someone left their socks and a can of chips. The floor was not vacuumed or any countertops wiped. The linens look like they've been changed but had an odor. There were ants crawling all over the air conditioning heating unit. Told front desk immediately moved us to a new room. It wasn't much better. The air conditioning unit was so loud and screeching we had to turn it off. There was a flashing light in the center of the room I assume to be the carbon monoxide detector. It's strobed every 10 seconds. This room really had not been vacuumed either. The bottom line with hotels is to be clean. Everything else I can deal with but it Hass to be clean and sanitary. For a Fairfield and the promise they make this was the worst I've seen ever. No excuses and disappointing. I do not recommend staying at this location. Slept like shit got up and left at 4 AM. No pride in this hotel. read more

If I could have given this no stars I would have. Most of these positive reviews must be by the employees and the managers because the condition of this hotel could not have been so downhill within a year. Arriving at the hotel our party found the hotel to be just a wreck. Several of these "security" doors were not working at all. The key cards were essentially a joke. Most of the door signs that were on the outside of our rooms were just laying on the floor. The rugs and the walls all through out the hotel was stained especially the chairs, foot stools and some of our pillows. One of our rooms had not been cleaned at all by the hotel maid. Food particles, bugs and trash were still in the hotel. Initially when we checked in they only gave us one key card and then argued that we did not have another room under our reservations. When I attempted to go down and fix the situation the "manager" of this craphole was just standing around and not helping out his employee at all. When they took us into an office the hotels office was trashed and barely in working order. Several employees were milling about in the hotel back rooms while the one employee attempted to check in several customers. We were not the only ones having issues with this hotel. Many other customers while in line complained to them for either missing reservations or dirty rooms. Several charges appeared on my debit card then mysteriously disappeared after complaining that the conditions of the room were as bad as they were. The websites say nothing about the pool being closed and under HEAVY construction. This hotel needs to be shut down by the health department I dont even want to know what the breakfast was like and we avoided that like the plague. read more

There were some small problems with our stay to begin with. There wasn't a remote for our TV which didn't get resolved until the next day when the morning staff was more helpful. we were told that the indoor pool was open and is definitely heated when I asked two weeks prior when I made reservations, but it was closed due to renovations when we arrived. I would have liked to have known renovations were going on. In spite of these inconveniences, we had a nice stay. The new carpet is bright and cheerful and the breakfast is great. Out of three nights, one was up to the standards I expect from the Marriott brand. I used up my accumulated points for this stay but my days were flexible so I could have come at a different time before or after renovations. The staff had two opportunities when I called prior to my stay to let me know but they did not. read more

Clean place. Very friendly staff. But when you walk into a hotel room and they have ear plugs sitting on the night stand, you know what the story will be. And so it was. Paper thin walls. You can hear your neighbor's TV like it's on in your room. The road noise and trains passing and disruptive too. And then there's the AC/Heater in the room. The fan is incredibly loud. I booked a room here through american express travel about two months in advance and was charged for it. When arrive at the hotel the front desk person asks to see my credit card and I before giving it to him I ask him that I have already paid and if I will be charged. He says no so I give him my card and I check in. When I check out I am charged again this time from the Fairfield Inn. I've had to dispute this with American Express and I am currently waiting for this issue to get resolved. read more

We were road weary and our stopping point was Jonesboro. Out in the middle of nowhere, we found this little gem of a hotel. We were assigned room 101, & found it be extremely well appointed. Much better than some more expensive hotels in which we have stayed. The beds are soft and comfy. The design is modern and clean. I loved the black and lime color way. The price was fair, considering it was memorial day weekend. We actually got the government, military rate. Interestingly, when we called the hotel across the way, they laughingly said they couldn't do military discount since it was memorial day weekend. The value presented by Fairfield was one of the main reasons we chose it. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, gym, or pool, so can't speak on those items The only"negative" I would consider is that our room had a few flying ants in the curtains and on the wall. The best hotel in town; however, there were few things I think they could improve on. I stayed here twice, on my first week my bathroom wasn't clean when I checked in. The bathroom had left over green soap, no Kleenex available and floors were not clean, definitely not to my standards. I let the staff know so that they could send someone to clean...when I came back from work the bathroom was still the same, I once again contacted the front desk and the lady was very sorry about it. They apologized and cleaned it. The second week was just fine, but noticed that the "housekeeping" staff was not doing a great job. I would come back to my room and the sink and counter tops still had the hair gel residues. It seem to me like they just make your bed and change the towels, that's it! Maybe that is the direction given to them or maybe the housekeeping staff is not very engaged. Anyways, probably your best stay in town, just a bit sloppy here and there. read more
