I was lying in bed after 10:00 p.m. listening to hotel guests talking and the floor bumps and rumble and the squealing of kids with loud adult voices. During the night, facing the convenience store / gas station I was awakened at 3:15 a.m. by the bang of a dumpster being slammed down, then the angry beeping of the truck. The area has a passenger train line close enough that you can hear the blast of the train horns. In the next hour or so, two passenger trains are blowing their horns at a crossing. It took me a couple of hours to get back to sleep. The hotel staff does slide the bill under your door (or tries to) and that is an annoyance that we can live without if we have email / text message options. The breakfast was good and standard stuff, egg and cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine and sweet pastries. Bring your earplugs and don't expect a great night's sleep.

I used Hotels.com and being a loyal Marriott member, selected Fairfield by Marriott and made a reservation. Literally (and I mean literally) a minute later I realized that because it was after 1am the reservation was made for *that* evening (ie more than 12 hours later) not for a quick 5-6 hour stopover. I tried to change the reservation but it cancelled instead despite already charging me the full $190. Even worse, when we walked into the hotel to try and fix the situation on the spot, we were told the hotel was completely sold out. I contacted Hotels.com, they were fantastic and responsive but let me know getting a refund would could only be approved directly by the manager of the property. They reached out on my behalf and apparently this property owner couldn't have cared less and refused to refund even a portion of the amount. A costly 2-minute mistake on my part and easy money for no effort on the part of the property owner here. We were so aggravated that we decided to go ahead and drive through. I doubt the owner will ever see this review or if they do, will likely not care, but greediness and a lack of empathy has a way of circling back. There are a lot of other hotels in the area - choose another one rather than this one.

I saw the Old Town Bluffton Inn and we gave it a try. WHAT A GREAT PLACE! When you walk in, you think you are in a building that was built in the early 1900s, yet it is only 6 years old. Old charm with modern amenities! The staff was so friendly and the happy hour each day let you mingle with others. Adults only so it was quiet and comfortable. The morning breakfast was very good and rotated daily. We parked our car on Thursday and didn't get in it until Saturday when we went over to HHI. Right in the middle of everything and everything is walking distance. Shopping, dining, etc! Definitely THE PLACE to stay when visiting Bluffton.

My wife and I were in the area for something work related last week and we spent a night at this beautiful spot on the center of town. From the outside this building looks older than anything in my current city (in a good way) and the inside is absolutely stunning from the hallways and lounge area to the rooms themselves. We arrived in town a little early so we decided to call the front desk to see if we would be able to check in early and they immediately said yes. When we got to the hotel and parked, the staff were quite possibly the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met in my life. They were so kind and made the entire process super quick and easy, and the best part? A DOG! There's a little white dog who loves belly rubs and high fives that I very much enjoyed hanging out with anytime I was in the lobby. The room itself was a solid size and had two twin beds, some wonderful furniture, and a TV which is everything I could possibly want out of a simple room. Overall, The Bluffton Inn was a five star experience from the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out. With amazing staff, clean rooms, and even complimentary snacks, breakfast, and beverages in the lobby staying at this place in the future is an absolute no brainer.

The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming--from the front desk to the breakfast team and housekeeping. The level of service truly stands out and makes you feel well taken care of every time. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, which is exactly what we look for after a day of travel or visiting family. Even though the hotel is located in Port Wentworth, downtown Savannah is less than a 10-minute drive, making it a very convenient and worthwhile option. Another plus is that there are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Food Lion nearby, which is always convenient. Overall, this is a great hotel with consistently excellent service and a reliable, comfortable stay. We've had nothing but positive experiences and would absolutely recommend it.

Beds and sheets were very comfortable. The room was setup well. We got 2 queens and a sofa bed. My 13yo daughter slept on the sofa bed. That was the only negative (and reason for 4 stars) as she said a bar was poking in the middle of her back. Maybe offer an extra cushion for the sofa bed mattresses. But we were glad this option was available so the 3 of us could sleep well! Breakfast was what you expect from Holiday Inn Express and was able to let us eat and get on the road quick to finish our trip. The app let me check in after midnight but understood I only needed the room for the rest of that 'night'. Other hotel chains I tried did NOT! This was a great place to stay, right off the interstate. Would definitely stay there again!
