They have reasonable hours, understand bullion and coins, and are very fair. I have never had them lowball me. In fact, they go out of their way to try to add a few cents per oz to make the deal fair (depending on how much I'm selling). I highly recommend this LCS to ANYONE in the Northern VA area. Most places in this area will never offer more than $2 back of spot, even on sovereigns. The guys at Bullion Bank actually understand stacking/collecting and can usually offer cash. When they don't have the cash they can write a check that you can literally cash at the bank down the street. I have no personal connection to this team, but respect the way they do business, and highly recommend them. Happy Stacking!

Nice Lobby with seating area and walk-up window/counter with chairs. Friendly young lady greeted us and she handled the whole transaction from start to finish. We cleared out a jewelry box and had a hodgepodge of gold items (rings, necklaces, mismatch earrings etc.) She quickly determined what was gold with a magnet (did not know that was the process) she then did a couple things to further determine which items were 100% gold. She weighed the final stuff that made the cut, and made a reasonable offer. We walked out with a check. Easy process with no issues. We never did this before so not sure what to expect, overall very easy, no stress and seemed like a fair transaction.

They buy jewelry based on the price of gold that day rather than the aesthetic appearance of the jewelry. They take 30% off the gold price. By comparison, I know most jewelry stores in Asia take a lower percentage off the gold price (I think 27% if I remember correctly). Not sure what is standard in America. My experience was quick. They used a tool to check what karat gold my jewelry was, weighed it, and then paid me out in nice crisp cash. I'd use it again for the convenience, but not to get the best price.
