Avoid at all costs. I ordered 9 sash and crittal-style panel windows and had a range of problems with all 9. Sounds unbelievable....I know. I should have done more research and could have easily avoided this big expensive mistake. I hope this review helps someone learn from my experience. My project was delayed by many months as a result. Any slight saving through Fairco's slightly cheaper prices was more than offset set by months of extra rent, flimsy quality windows and the time wasted on constant follow-ups. Sales: excellent rep. Turned up on time and was polite - this is the secret to their business model (great rep who is highly motivated). Survey: I paid Fairco's engineers to measure the job. When some of the windows eventually arrived (and 3 were the wrong size), I was asked by Fairco "is that your signature on the survey?". The implication being that it was my responsibility learn how to check the engineer's hundreds of measurements and then check they were actually made correctly. In the end, I paid my builder €1,500 to alter the walls to accommodate the 2 incorrect smaller windows. I then waited 3 months for Fairco to remake the 3rd incorrect window. Installation: it was a building site, so a very easy install. One window was very difficult to open, one difficult to close. The crittal panel door lock was not working correctly and the "pulls" to open the kitchen and bathroom windows were left for me to screw to the windows. Aftersales: Fairco has been on site around 6 times and in fairness, they have fixed all but one issue; which can't be fixed. The materials used in the sash windows are not sufficiently robust to support the weight of the glass they're attempting to hold up. As a result, the bottom of the sash is bowing...so who knows how long they will last? In summary. As usual, mam was right....you get what you pay for. :-( Avoid at all costs. read more

Bad.Bae. Bad. For customer service go anywhere else. We asked for someone to quote for all new windows and doors for our 5 bedroom house. They refused to even send anyone until we had chosen the type and colour. Now, the whole reason we wanted a quote was that we could decide on type based on the quote. There are plenty of companies -Senator- for example that came within 24 hours of our request for a quote. We are kicking off our deep retrofit project so who needs a ignorant company unwilling to quote! As in Pretty Woman....big mistakes lads. Huge So for any competent level of customer service. From experience, never buy from Fairco Windows And Doors, their work is shoddy and they don't honour the guarantee, as for the owner Jim Toal, he is nothing but a dirty rotten liar of an individual, I now know that he is known for his lies through former staff members of his, since I named and shamed his so called company he even has other people putting up fake reviews to boost his image, he has also threatened to take me to court on 3 occasions, I am very disappointed that I haven't received any court papers, if he does he is shooting himself in the foot, as he knows himself from day one he is in the wrong, I hope and pray my day in court will come at his expense, as I told him before I won't need a solicitor as I am capable of speaking up for myself, I have all the proof, emails, photos etc, I had many a window company out with me looking at the shoddy work done by Fairco, they can't believe the level of workmanship was so poor for the price we paid €14,726, his so called company is a laughing stock of the window industry, some of these people are known to him, they also said that they will put word out about his shoddy work, they more people who know the better, not one part of him from head to toe is a man, he hadn't the balls to face me when I protested outside his showrooms for a full week, if anyone deserves to go out of business he does, he has ripped many a people off and is allowed to continue, so people beware, save yourself the stress and strain because believe me, the stress and strain of dealing with Fairco is unrepairable!!! watch this crowd. In early November we were looking for a glass panel to use as a window. We went to Fairco windows showrooms in santry. The guy there brought us down the road to their stores and gave us a second hand side line fix pane which is used at the side of a door. He charged us 300 euros which was way over the odds. We paid him cash, we did not get a receipt, when I rang looking for a receipt I received a complement slip in the post instead of a proper receipt. I rang their head office and have and have not received any reply since. There are loads of honest window companies in Dublin so pick one of those companies rather than this crowd. read more

We got black windows installed from Fairco windows and doors in July 2012 at a cost of over 14,000 euros and within 3 years and 9 months the foil on the windows was blistering, with the result we got a replacement in black cherry that was put in, in one day in December 2016 from fairco. Now more problems have come to pass,broken shoot bolt on the front French doors that fairco wouldn't fix in an emergency, as a result we had to pay another company 90€ to get the door open as we couldn't gain access to our house. The foil on these black cherry windows is now blistering in the bathroom window and also most ,if not all the windows are not sealed properly, as they are all drafty as fairco just put slips up to every frame. This was just a quick fix, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and the owner could do with improving his customer service and the way he treats his customers. Just to mention the black cherry windows were the replacement, as the black windows were under guarantee ,and fairco ,by law had to replace them. How this company has got away for so long with such shoddy work is beyond me, we're not happy. read more
