A massive overcharge on small portions for the meals because they try to come off as a fancy cuisine doing decorations with sauces and flowers meanwhile I can make a better tasting fish from a grocery store days from the ocean with just butter and salt. When you take a peak in their kitchen from the door you see tubs and tubs of premade ingredients and sauces dated from the beginning (or even prior probably) week. it may be different during peak hours but on a normal Thursday night not even an hour into dinner service they have 1 single cook/chef doing all the work and two front house staff that disappear or are going on their phones in a way that seems to try and avoid you. The whole experience gave the impression of a restaurant past its prime and only falling more and more from complacency. I'm no culinary expert but from working 3 years in a restaurant in AZ I believe this place could be so much more but fails due to what seems like negligence and monetary greed. At least this is all the impression we got from visiting on a Thursday afternoon not even an hour into dinner service (around 20:00) with only two other tables (only 2-3 people) there with one not even ordering food (don't blame them) TLDR - the risotto was good - The seafood items (fish, calamari, octopus, shellfish)for a seaside restaurant was either old or overpriced for what was given - The drinks are simple but overpriced or marked up cheap alcohol - The kitchen seems understaffed, cutting corners for a restaurant that tries to appeal as high end cuisine ( random take but having worked in a restaurant's kitchen bothers me the most ) - portions are small while trying to appear fancy with decorative items and sauces while being nothing notable - the building itself is very beautiful and creative in design but is contrary in nature to the food served

A simple Google search for "live music near us" in Naples led us to Keste, and it turned out to be the best musical experience we've had not only in Italy but in our entire lives. We arrived at Keste on a Wednesday evening around 10 pm. My musician husband immediately noticed a drum kit--the first he had seen since we arrived in Italy. The amazing wait staff greeted us warmly and promptly handed us drink menus with clear prices, contrary to some reviews claiming they were overcharged. Our drinks arrived quickly, and we instantly felt at home. The locals, who seem to frequent this bar on Wednesday nights (which we learned is jam session night), asked if we played music. My husband, a drummer, was invited to collaborate on the drum kit--not once but multiple times throughout the night. What was meant to be a one-hour stop turned into an all-night amazing experience. The bar seemed to get even better as the night went on! The vibe at Keste was nothing short of incredible. The music, the owner, the staff, the openness, and the overall sense of belonging made us feel right at home. If you are a musician in Naples, this is THE place to be. If you enjoy music and great people with great energy, this is THE place to visit. I can't wait to return to Naples to visit Keste and reconnect with the wonderful people who frequent it!
