My wife and I got some dessert here after we saw the castle, and it was amazing. After we ordered, my wife took a bite and told me the icing was very good. I laughed and told her all icing was the same, just sugary and usually crunchy. When I took a bite, it truly was amazing. The icing melts in your mouth and has the perfect amount of sweetness. The pastry itself was flaky, and though it didn't have much filling, it didn't need it to be truly delectable. Everything about it was perfect. I have never tasted a pastry this delicious. We only spend a day in Helsingør, and though we looked for more pastries in Copenhagen, we never found one quite as good as these. I can't wait to go to Denmark to have these again.

The Ambience: They have seating both inside and outside. On a warm day, the waterfront would look quite amazing if you choose an outside seat. The ambience inside felt like something out of an architectural magazine. It opens up to the waterfront with a lot of natural light. Each table has an assortment of floral and shrub design. The silver leaf eucalyptus gave off a faint fragrance as I sat on the table. There are rows of table in the center, The tea-lamp light and the floral vase on them gave a feeling like it was a wedding table with the centerpiece and all. The food: The coffee was served in a beautiful cup. The snack plate too was beautiful looking. I was hungry and devoured the chicken and oat snack. It had a little less salt for my taste but it was otherwise delicious. I took a look at the brunch menu and it looks like something I'd have to come and try some other time. You get to choose between 5 or 7 options priced at 135 DKK ($20 USD) or 165 DKK ($24 USD) between bakery, eggs, fruit and greens, meat and fish, sweet dishes. I know it sounds on the pricey side but there are so many factors goin' for it: the slices are humonnngous, the presentation is lovely (the pistachio crumbles were a nice touch), and the beans are top notch (my americano was supa smooth). Service warm as well - from the patient baristas (ours walked over to the front of the display to patiently explain every glorious flavor of pie) to André himself seeing us out, we felt welcome the whole duration of our stay (+ free tap water & wifi wassup). This place is an absolute gem. Go to Helsingør for the castle & stay for the cake.
