I was tired of looking tired and my kids pulling my hair. My long hair was just becoming too hard to maintain and I rarely ever got the chance to dazzle it up anymore. I was definitely apprehensive about making such a big change especially when I couldn't get in to see my normal stylist. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Becca. I had my 1 year old with me so I was really afraid that it was going to be a disaster. I showed her a few pictures of the style I wanted and she went to chopping. Like I said, I was pretty nervous. Everything went so smoothly. It only took her about 15 minutes so my little one didn't get upset. Once I got home and styled it, I loved it. She did a great job, she was quick and friendly, and most of all, she gave me exactly what I wanted. I feel so refreshed, like a new person.

I am absolutely heartbroken and extremely upset after our experience today. We have been here…read morebefore and I have actually left positive reviews because they have always taken their time and shown patience with my son, who is autistic. Haircuts can be very difficult for him, and until today, we had never experienced anything like this. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt different. I explained, as I always do, that my son cannot tolerate a cape and that we normally use the salon brush throughout the haircut to keep loose hair off of him. This has never been an issue before. Unfortunately, the person who cut his hair today was harsh with him and did not seem patient or understanding of his needs. Before I could stop her and explain that I did NOT want the top of his hair cut off, it had already been buzzed but also trying to calm him and in my brain was screaming to stop the whole thing! My son became extremely distressed and was screaming in a way I have never experienced during one of his haircuts. My daughter, who was with me, was also shocked. She told me afterward that at one point she saw the stylist's thumb pressing against his throat. She said she froze because she thought the stylist would realize what she was doing and move her hand. What hurts even more is that afterward the stylist seemed proud of how quickly the haircut had been completed. With my son, QUICK is not the goal. PATIENCE, KINDNESS, and making him feel safe are the goal. I thought they understood that. Again, we've been here several times. I've posted and told people about this place. Although I want to maybe in my head rationalize, maybe she was tired, or etc., but at the same time there was no excuse.
