Getting a good haircut is really important. If you want to look your best this place can help!…read more It's really a great place for guys and you'll realize how good the haircuts are when you see how many people congregate in this small space. The barber and owner, Aaron, is a popular guy in Bellevue and people come from all around Pittsburgh just to get their haircuts here. The prices are really cheap for what you get too! Aaron supports artists and likes to constantly update his wall with new art. He provides outside seating on the sidewalk. You can sit out there reading a magazine; people watch or smoke a cigar. He sells them. He also gives his customers free beer while they wait! What more could a guy want!

Tough to find trust anymore…read more I found this barber shop by walking down the street and being enticed by the classic style and old fashioned sensibilities. I have been getting my hair cut by these guys for about a year now, and even though I have moved out of Bellevue and back to the South Hills, I still make my way to Lincoln Barber shop because I don't trust other places to have the same values and skills especially for the price. Generations of barbers are hard to come by these days and I will support that as long as I can. Great people, great hair, good times.

They walked through it step-by-step and there were no surprises. They had good conversation about various things and my kid stepped out looking dapper. He did all the right things to make my son as comfortable as possible and left plenty of time in case it didn't go as smoothly. I cannot say enough. It is worth the drive and we will be going back as soon as the kid is cool with another haircut.

Mec has several barbers with great hours both on the weekends and after work and a convenient location with the parking garage right above. Ok, I had always wanted to experience a straight razor shave for most of my life but didn't know of…read moremany places around here that do such a manly, lost art of a thing. So I watch straight razor videos on youtube and use my Musgo, Proraso, Tweezerman brush, and old-fashioned safety razor. I've never gotten better shaves, ever. I figured that having a barber do it would be a sure thing. So I got a Tony's gift certificate for my birthday last month. Mum found out that the place gives shaves via an online Tribune-Review feature. I had already known through the grapevine that they did them but hadn't gotten around to going. With a gift certificate, I now had a reason. So I go in, and there's three barbers; two old fellas and young guy. The place is hoppin', happenin'. They're cuttin' hair like crazy. Hey, when you offer a $15 haircut, guys will show up. I got the young guy. They could tell I was there for a head and face shave just by looking at my Bam-Bam Bigelow self. They were all really friendly and seemed tickled that I was getting a shave. I got the hot towel treatment and that warm lather which poured out of a purring silver metallic machine called a "Shave De-Lite". They use Lather-King lather by the way. A wetshaving nerd like me had to know. The straight razors they use have changeable, disposable blades. Most of the barbers I see that give shaves seem to use a better cream for one. They also use a shaving brush. That may have been part of the problem. He used some kind of pre-shave conditioner as well as Pinaud Clubman talc and aftershave. Honestly, I barely felt a thing. Scary it wasn't, just disappointing. He didn't even go over my tough beard twice, which other barbers I've seen apparently do. When I was done and looked at my face in the car's sun visor, my face still looked rough, and had 3 little nicks on my chin. I was as still as a statue too. Tough beard? Low-rent creams? Less than ideal prep? They must be great at cutting hair though, and they're nice guys. *shrugs shoulders* Perhaps I can find another barber or salon that does a better job at shaves. I felt bad writing this review, but I have to be honest. I feel like Simon Cowell. Oh, I ignored a red flag. In the aforementioned online feature, the reporter getting shaved was photographed with 2 nicks on his neck. Ooops!
