We have used this company a couple times in the past. The first time we had laminate laid in our basement. Unfortunately they did not level the floor before install so we ended up with boards slipping and separating from each other all over. After contacting Factory Flooring they did offer to come back in and redo the floor correctly. We were impressed and grateful even with having to remove everything from the basement for a second time. We had them come back and do a main floor laminate install a couple years later. Those floors have held up so far (no separating or other issues) I believe our first installer no longer works for them. Anyway, here we are again.....We went in and had a new flooring install scheduled for our top floor for today and tomorrow. We were told the installer would be here by 10 instead 3 hours later they are a no show. Not a single person, neither the installer or someone from Factory Direct called about any kind of delay. I called Factory Direct and was given the excuse of "truck problems" Take that as you will. I'm frustrated with the inconsistency of this company. I am no longer sure if this is a company I would recommend to other people. We spent literally our entire day killing ourselves to prep for an install today and now we will be without an office or bedroom for at least an extra day. If you've ever re-done your floors you know what a huge inconvenience this all is. All I can say is our floors better be perfect and hopefully they're more considerate of their clients in the future. read more

We came in to look at carpet and mark helped us. He showed us some great carpet at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately those reasonable prices were complete lies. He quoted us 3.25$ per square foot including pad and installation. We were completely on board before they came out to "measure" our less than 700 square foot basement. Now the math is 3.25 x 700=2275. Then you figure in some random crap that they need and you end up paying 2500-2700 right? Nope mark sends us a quote with the math 3.25 x 900=3600$. So he thinks his installer is going to have 200 square feet of waste... that is 28% waste ratio. Now let's move back to his math. 3.25x900 actually equals 2925. Oops I guess I wasn't supposed to be good at math. My bad. That means that on top of the 28.5% waste ratio he is charging 675$ in random nonsense hidden fees. Hard pass buddy. read more

Mark has lied to us over and over. We paid upfront and they have not finished the job. It has been over 7 weeks. They have done 3 no shows and now will not call back. We get diff stories each time we talk to them. They are a rip off and they will not help us. Today they have refused to contact us after they were suppose to be here at noon. Shady people. Do not pay up front. As soon as they get your money they run. read more

Factory flooring is a great place to get floors. The sales man was very helpful when it came to buying a floor for just us. They didn't try to sell us a floor that we couldn't afford. The installers were on time & did a great job as well. We LOVE our new floor. There's nothing better! I would definitely recommend them for any of your flooring needs. read more

Salesman worked with us to get financing for the flooring we wanted. Great product but we thought is was a bit pricey. Bid was to include removal of base boards and reinstall after wood flooring was put down. Installer just notched the bottom of the base which did not look good. We asked him about it and he said that was normal procedure. He also left the landing on our stairs unfinished. We had worked out with the salesman to put in some extra pieces so that we could do our stairs at a later time. We reminded the installer of this several times to which he agreed. He left us only a few short pieces. Nothing close to what we're were expecting. I saw a couple of unopened boxes when he was essentially done so I know there was more left overs. We won't use them again. read more

I called on a Saturday after I had been in there Friday looking at different options. I remember the owner saying they were open until 5 pm on Saturdays but Google showed 6 and I wanted to verify and I call at 415 and tell him I'm interested in making an order at what we have just saw yesterday. He responds with well ... I'm trying to close right now better come back later. Serious?? If I want to come give you business it's 45 minutes until you close and you tell me you'd rather I come another day. Won't be going there for my order that's for darn sure. read more

If you come here and schedule installation make sure you verify how long it will take. I was told one day when I scheduled installation after I got my bid and the guy measured everything. On installation day I was told it was going to take 2 days, not cool when you have move in planned the next day. They ended up getting it done in one day but didn't clean up after themselves, I had 3 open sodas sitting in my bathroom. They told me their vacuum was broken, ok I guess that's fine. But they didn't sweep my wood floors that were covered in dust and carpet remnants. When I addressed these issues I was blamed for being unreasonable for wanting my carpet done in one day like I was told when I set up installation and wanting some clean up done. Will NOT be coming back when we finish our basement. VERY disappointed. read more
