Helped me get a shirt down off the wall. Check out goes by fast even though the lines are long For those unfamiliar this is the same as a Ross, Homegoods & Tj Maxx. Discount store with random new stuff in shipment. Snacks, clothes, home decor, pet treats and toys, baby junk, makeup, jewelry, hats, shoes, and purses. Great selection of frames and pet toys and treats. Could use a different variety of clothes and more makeup but they can't control what they get. The prices are on par with Tj maxx. My only complaints are: 1) they need to lock up the makeup and expensive perfumes in safer boxes. (Google "retail safer boxes", SG Systems sells them). I literally saw a woman open foundation and put it on her hand then put it back on the shelf. Also people trying sprays in the aisles. With the boxes, they're clear and the products can be see without being touched or stolen. Especially makeup or expensive perfume Complaint 2: the country music was bad enough but it was almost blaringly loud. I'm not old, but music that loud isn't needed in a small store. It made me wanna just leave faster, not shop more lol. Maybe they'll fix the music selection and volume soon. Overall it's a nice store if the management keeps it that way with a few tweaks here and there. Worth a visit!

While it is on the pricey side, which is…read morewhy I mostly window-shopped during my time as a poor college student at OSU, now as an alumni I love to come in on football weekends and pick up some cute orange gear as well as browse the excellent NorthFace selection that is frequently carried in smaller sizes than other shops. The main reason for my 5-star rating is due to the level of service that I received with my latest purchase. During the coldest Bedlam game I have ever experienced, I stopped in looking for the warmest coat I could find. I found a great (and not cheap) puffy NorthFace jacket that I purchased and carried with me until the game started. Unfortunately when I put it on, I noticed several small slits at the bottom of the jacket where the stuffing was coming out. At the end of the game, we brought the jacket back and they offered to personally take the jacket to their NorthFace rep in Dallas to be either repaired or replaced under the NorthFace warranty. Unfortunately after inspection, the NorthFace rep could not help as it was apparently a burn and not a tear (which I am sure I did at some point when walking through numerous tailgates with heaters blazing). Nonetheless, the store manager offered to have it repaired at their tailor at no cost to me, and even had it shipped to my house in Tulsa! I greatly appreciated the level of service that I often do not experience at other retailers these days and plan to continue shopping at The Wooden Nickel in the future.

The girls working there were very nice! I spent almost 2 hours in there trying on soo many dresses ‍ They didn't seem put out with me at all! I put my own dresses back on the racks (because I wanted to, I'm a weirdo lol) but I did witnessing how other customers treat the store & employees by leaving extra messy dressing rooms with gobs of clothes but those girls did their jobs well they worked hard and kept up with the chaotic flow of New Years Eve Eve shopping!! I thank those girls for being patient with my indecisive shopping I will absolutely shop here again! P.S. loved my dress and shoes had a great NYE! Great prices on everything!
