I've wanted to come here for a while, and I decided to walk in on Tuesday around 5:30pm since I was in the area. I saw Malaya since she was the only trainer available at the time. I did the signature sculpt with EMS on level 8. She was informative and even told me she felt tension in my jaw, which I couldn't. You do get 10% off your first treatment, which was nice. I believe they have 7 chairs for the facials. It's a small place. However, it's expensive, and people come here monthly to see results. I may come back, but not regularly due to price. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I went in for my appointment today at FaceGym and left feeling incredibly frustrated and disappointed. At the end of my visit, they tried to charge me $145, even though I am a member and had not yet used my monthly facial. They told me it was because I was marked as a no show for an appointment on Saturday. Here is what actually happened. I booked through the app and accidentally selected Saturday instead of Sunday. As soon as I realized, I called and explained the mistake. The staff member I spoke to told me it was completely fine and that they could move my appointment to Sunday. At no point did anyone mention I would still be charged for the original booking. There is no world in which I would knowingly double book and pay twice in the same month. I physically could not have made the Saturday appointment, and I only came in today because I believed the issue had been resolved. What made this even worse was the way it was handled in person. The manager was incredibly rude and showed zero understanding of the situation. There was no effort to listen or acknowledge that I had already called to fix the mistake. Because of this experience, I am canceling my membership. For a place that markets itself as premium, the customer service was shockingly poor. Be very careful booking through their app, and don't expect any flexibility or accountability if something goes wrong. read more

A lot of mixed reviews on this place. Here's my take: The Workout is good - I've been a monthly subscriber for 5 months, I think - And I loved it! BUT last time I went in, the woman made some suggestions while I was already relaxed in the chair (and was honestly in and out of a deep relaxation state). When the service was over - my $175 service was now $345 - RIDICULOUS! And I know what you're thinking - well, it's your fault - you kept nodding and saying "okay, sounds good." But the part that was left out conveniently was the pricing. When my trainer said "well do "this" instead of "this", I assumed that she was swapping services, not adding almost $200. I wrote the company to let them know what had happened and that I felt like I had been swindled. They simply said, "We're sorry you feel that way. It was your fault." So I've decided to leave this company - and tbh: I would've stayed with them for life. (truly). If you do decide to go, set your services and don't let them talk you out of it. Also be ready for that little "tip" moment where they ask you for 18%, 20% or 22% of your $200 or $300 service. Those buttons make them a lot of extra cash, if you're not great with math as you come out of a relaxed state. I ended up tipping the minimum but it was still a $75 tip. I have been twice. The last time I went I was so disappointed, I'll never go back. I'm not sure if they restructured their goaling system or created a commission system. The expectation from the staff to upgrade your service and buy product was so strong for both me and a friend who joined me. Considering the service is not private, the chairs are uncomfortable, and there really isn't an other real offer and the base price is $150, there isn't much value in the service. The most refreshing, innovative, and deeply satisfying experience my face has ever encountered. I've had hundreds of facials around the world, from the back street elemental facials of Bali, to the French melon hydration treatments in Antibes, France. All were great, but nothing compares to what I experienced at Face Gym. You can't exactly compare traditional facials with the "face workouts" of this place. It would be like comparing the finest French macaroons to a juicy steak in Texas. Both are good in their own right, but face workouts are such a novel experience, that I don't even know how to describe it beyond love-making of the face and hands. Think deep-tissue massage crossed with a Turkish bath, but for the face. I'd never had my jaw mandibles massaged before. All I know is that after it was done, for a good week, I had been so released from chronic build up of tension buried in my jaw muscles, that I was in a zen state of new awareness and relaxation. I've come in for two treatments that include some mixture of the signature sculpt, cryo medi lift, radio frequency, and whatever you call the treatment where they stick their gloved fingers in your mouth to massage your jaw muscles. I got the standard face massage without any boosters. It was basically a regular facial with slightly more focus on the face massage part. The salon is well-designed, but you're basically having a facial out in an open space like you would at a hair salon. The facial itself was a relaxing experience, but they tried to sell me on extra things about 4 times during my time here, all of which I continually declined. They tried to sell me on boosters before my service (which, fair). Then they tried to sell me more boosters twice during my service. Then they tried to sell me product to take home after my service. Maybe I'm sensitive to being sold to, but either way, it actually made my experience not-so-great. My skin definitely came out a lot more moisturized, but I didn't get the immediate depuffing results I was hoping for. Maybe it was because I didn't buy a booster lol. They charged me $145 without me agreeing or my permission due to me missing an appointment (outside of my control. I am halfway across the USA!) due to my flight being missed which was not my fault. Spirit airlines made an error on my daughters ticket, long story short I had to rebook us on southwest that was nearly 2 hours later than original flight. Because of this, I could not make my appointment. Before I scheduled this appt their employee asked for my card, at that point I was hesitant to book since I am stated away and was just flying in for the weekend. The employee assured me if there was any delays or anything occurred outside my control, to text back on the text they will send (I even said but my flight is at 6:30 am which is 4:30 am their time) and she said they would see the text when they arrived and cancel appt or reschedule me. Well something did happen and I knew I couldn't make it so I did text them at 4:30am their time. Which I saved. They charged my card anyway without me agreeing. Since their cancellation policy didn't matter in my situation as an out-of-towner, I disregarded it when I saw the email. They offered me to come in that day which was impossible because I was to go to a business meeting around lunch, and then had other events that day with my daughter. The flight delay made it impossible. I didn't even care if I didn't get a refund, I just asked to be accommodated to do the appt Saturday or Sunday and they flat out REFUSED. I was in TEARS. Do you think I didn't want to do the appt or what?!!! They basically accused me of lying ... do you know how this felt after Spirit messed me up that morning with my daughters boarding pass, despite being there over 2 hours early... and then paying $1000 to get on another flight asap and then face gym to not give 2 rats about it and at least trust I wouldn't make any of this up. Where would I come up with this whole story. This experience is making me feel like I need to record every business and what they say for proof moving forward because you literally will get screwed like me. Speaking of recording, the head manager Tony admitted to recording our conversation and claimed his employee never told me this info, flat out lie, I asked for proof of convo, he didn't provide, and I told him Cali is a 2 party state which is illegal to record without the other party agreeing. Never heard back. But Tony- if it is true- then prove it to me. I'll take the X and admit misunderstanding if you can show the proof. However- not sure Tony about illegally recording me. Lovvveeeeedddd my treatment at facegym. I got the sculpt, hydration restoration, and intense cleanse. I'm glad I went with all 3 because they all felt like they did something different for my face. I did notice a difference in the puffiness of my face after the treatment. Next time I would plan to stay in the area longer, probably get lunch or dinner at the hotel since I'm already paying for valet. Honestly felt like a waste of money. I arrived 10 min early and I sat and waited for 5 extra min before even being seated in a chair. Brooke spoke a mile a minute and was not super friendly, just sort of abrasive. I had booked an express workout ($65) with an add on for 30 min of shoulder and neck massage ($30). Brooke told me she thought it would be more worth it to spend $5 extra to skip the shoulder and neck massage and to just get the signature sculpt ($100 for 50 mins). I agreed and said no problem... in the middle of my face workout, she asked if I wanted to do any add ons, which I declined. I was seated at 3:05 and Brooke finished at 3:40 and sent me on my way after recommending I come back for a $200 treatment next time. So I paid $100 for 35 min??? Absolute BS!! I felt like everyone in there wanted to just get me in and out as soon as possible since I wasn't a regular or a friend of anyone there. Treat yourself to a facial elsewhere (Misarang Beauty in Koreatown is MUCH better and has free parking for a 75min+ personalized treatment). 30min or less massage for the price is NOT worth it here. Customer service is also awful. This location DOES NOT answer their phone and parking is terrible. Tried to return products multiple times and they closed 1hr+ earlier than their closing time. Their ripoff vibration face device came uncharged and when trying to charge it, it wouldn't work. Also, any product returns within a month for UNOPENED products are at the manager's discretion. That's a weird policy for a company that sells you an ALREADY BROKEN PRODUCT. TLDR: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE. As a note, this review is about the company as a whole along with their policies. The actual services are fine (though, I can say, I didn't leave the one session I went to feeling like I just had the best facial I've ever experienced...). But back to the point of this review... For a company whose entire business model is based off customer service, this one is severely lacking so I recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Also, to be clear, I am not new to subscription or membership style services. I've had facial "memberships" at different locations and have had ZERO issues with canceling, pausing, traveling, getting money back... Same with any actual gyms I've joined (which have been plenty). In fact, I had another facial membership in another city running at the same time as this one. With one email to the on-site team, I was able to cancel the membership. And I had no problem with missing some arbitrary cancellation date because the facials don't just disappear. So, I have a few facials simply sitting on my account for when I'm back in that town. It's absolutely ridiculous to have a business practice where you just take someone's money and not give them anything in return, and, side note, Face Gym, the ability to get a discount on whatever you're offering that month and/or a facial that doesn't roll over is NOT a worthy offering. Life happens. Sometimes life comes along and kicks you in the a$$, and, though this may sound crazy, when that happens, the last thing on your mind as you're dealing with some pretty big stuff is "oh, let me take a moment and call the facial place I thought I would be able to go to regularly, get the email I need to email from the person on site, email the memberships team, fill out a form they'll send you in the email and cancel, all within 15 days before the next billing cycle so they don't take my money since 'facials don't roll over'." Sometimes in life you need to be accommodated. This company has no interest in accommodating their customers. There are thousands of spas out there. I highly recommend giving your money to one who respects and cares about their customers and works with them when necessary. If you're curious about my experience further, please see below. 1. Poorly trained staff (or, perhaps, staff who just don't care about their customers): The person who "sold" me the membership at the "gym" didn't explain the policies to me at all so that's problem number one. Since they expect you to go read all the fine print yourselves instead of having it explained, I'll break some of it down for you... When you join this "gym" you join for a minimum of two months. But, here's the fun kicker... Turns out, they don't allow facials to roll over. They just take your money. So, please, never travel, never go on vacations, never let life happen to you... you'll waste your hard earned money. Personally, I am constantly on the road for work so I would not have joined any facial place where a monthly facial doesn't roll over. I'm not in town enough to justify that spend. Side note, I did like Josh at the Weho "gym" who actually acted like he cared and tried to help even though he couldn't because of point #2. 2. The staff on site are not able to assist you: Aside from allowing you to sign up for a "membership" the on-site team cannot help you at all. They can't cancel your memberships, they can't do anything should you have an issue. Not even the managers can help. I've never experienced that before. If there's a problem, no big deal, you can email the membership team who are on site at their London offices (insert eye roll here) 3. Their cancellation policy is onerous: You have to email some random email (again, because the actual staff you deal at the actual locations you go to can't help you at all). You're then asked to fill out a form - why? Who knows... My email saying I want to cancel should be enough. Then, you have to ensure you do all of that 15 days prior to the billing cycle. 4. Their customer service is nonexistent: Don't bother having an issue. They won't help you at all. They will instead point out all the various locations on their online sites where you can find the information for their policies. And if there's anything off, sorry, can't help. It's all "automatic". There's simply no way, in 2024 anyone at that company is able to go around their "automatic" system, you know? It makes total sense. They "are unable to make any exceptions. This policy is outlined in our Membership Terms and Conditions, which ensures that all members are treated fairly and consistently." So PLEASE, if you join this horrible company, don't have life happen to you... In conclusion, this company has created an environment where the staff cannot help you at all, they make you engage in multiple steps to cancel and they just take your money if you can't make it in that month. read more

You go to the gym to get your muscles pumped but have you forget about your face? Ever since wearing Invisalign, my headaches getting worst. I would wake up many times at night just to tell myself keep my jaw opens to relax. Muscle relaxer works but not for long term usage. I would like to try face deep muscles work as recommended by my orthodontist. I am not going to sugar coating here, if you need serious deep tissue moment on your jaw, you should sign up for "The Signature" program. I had Jocelyn who acknowledges how tense my jaws are and when I almost given up, she won't. She is more brave than my plastic surgeon. I seriously squeezed out 1/2 a drop of tear, so embarrassing. BUT WORTHS IT. Immediately after the whole 30minutes session was over, my jawline softened up, I no longer have those dents on my lower cheeks. Even the cheeks hang higher. So, before you consider having fillers to plump up your face, DON'T FAKE IT! WORK IT! Definitely come back once a month or more if my pocket book commits. I know I will sleep like a baby every night. Btw, they validate parking so you only pay $10 good for 3 hour. If you hang around and go over 3 hours, it's out of your pocket. Their products smell great! They first use cleaners to clean your face before the workout. They apply nice skincare and sunblock back onto your face before you leave. The Signature Sculpt started and ended with a wonderfully refreshing lemongrass hot towel which felt amazing on my skin. Tiffaney expertly massaged my facial muscles and crunched down on problem areas to relax my face, while applying oils and serums to provide maximum hydration. Tiffaney got rid of my face's puffiness, massaging and using the Purelift EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulator) to depuff, lift, sculpt and tone. Then she drained my lymph nodes, leaving my skin glowing, depuffed and more radiant than ever before. I can't believe it took me this long to come here! I follow their Instagram and have had this bookmarked forever but finally went last week and dragged my husband along with me. We got the "Express Workout" booked online and since my husband was coming with me, I booked both appointments online but wasn't able to get them at the same time. I called the morning of and they were able to change our appts so that they were right after each other. You can park at 1Hotel off Sunset (CUTEST, chic hotel) and FaceGym validated parking so it's $10 with validation. It's part of the hotel but not connected which was a little weird so you walk back out to sunset to enter. The girls at the front were friendly and Amy did mine and my husband's facial and it was AMAZING!!! Amy was great at communicating and walked me through the process of what she's doing and the benefits but still kept talking minimal so I could relax which I appreciated! She used her hands and fingers for some face sculpting, a ball which felt amazing, some lymphatic draining tools, some amazing face products and this hand held pure lift face thing that felt so weird but so good at the same time, some muscles were twitching and I couldn't stop laughing but Amy was patient with me luckily lol next time, I'll go for the signature sculpt so I can enjoy it longer and have even more benefits! Some muscles in my face are sort of sore since they were 41 unused muscles in your face and I love it!I would definitely suggest this a day or two before a big event since it helps with puffing, makes you glowing and leaves you feeling GOOD! Please read this review before going. As the 5 star reviews are clearly written by friends or employees of the location. I had read about Face Gym a lot, had a positive experience once in NYC. But this LA experience was anything but. Your bill will also nearly double without them even telling you, by adds on they just do to your face. Most of their trainers / estethicians are not properly trained. You're better off getting a real facial at a trustworthy place, for a fraction of the price. My experience on May 14 was something I would honestly not have even paid for after the fact. When I asked the woman if she had been working for a while, she told me she was brand new and it was very evident. The entire time she was working out my face, the woman next to us kept looking over at her techniques with a shocked face while also shaking her head, coming by once to tell her she was doing something wrong. I then was told I should also get the cryo oxygen without any notice that it would be an additional $95 - that I did not find out until I went to pay. When it was time to do the cryo, she didn't know how to use the machine and the little tank flew off the machine and she left for 20 minutes trying to get a new machine, or perhaps be taught how to use it. To spend $310 + a $40 or $50 tip (I can't recall exactly but she was standing near enough to the register to hear me at time to tip, so I felt bad saying zero) to be a guinea pig for a brand new employee is pretty wild to me. Especially for a price that I can go to Shani Darden for. To make it all worse, I received zero noticable results. The first 2 times people commented on my face, and how great it looked. This time, 3 people asked me what happened to my face. As it was left red and irritated for several days. When I sent an email to their GM, Marco, he invited me back for a 25% discount.
