They've split their services into 2 sites; the one on Barrett Street focuses more on costume rentals. My visit wasn't for a costume but more for make-up and accessories for a costume, but let me tell you, the costume selection for purchase here is outstanding, taking up a large portion of this larger-than-before site. My purpose here was to seek make-up and accessories, of which they again have a giant inventory. I received great service here. I told them exactly what I was seeking, and within minutes I was given demonstrations and samples of exactly what I wanted - super easy, super fun. When you come here, read all the signs on the doors to find the entrance, as a lot of the doors are locked. The entrance you want is "upstairs" in the back, against the parking lot, the rightmost of all available doors. I was very glad to have re-discovered this store!

I should have had that information. The Costumer is a large operation with three locations in Schenectady. It rents and sells hundreds of costumes and assessories. A call to my daughter resolved those issues. Within 15-20 minutes of my arrival, the order was located and delivered to my car by a staff member. Service was Five Stars I talked to four different staff, and each one was courteous and calm in spite of my impatience during the initial part of my visit. I was a little out of line, but I am going to attribute it to a senior episode. A nice email explaining the delay in locating the order was sent to my daughter by the manager on the same day as my pickup. AND it included a 15% off coupon on her next purchase! Good customer service and follow-up!

Very very few vintage pieces (maybe two 70s dresses and a few 80s prom dresses) and lots of unauthentic purses and pieces of jewelry (with a few exceptions, to be fair). Most of the store is dedicated to Halloween costumes. Overall, an inauthentic vintage store. They should really get rid of the cheap Halloween costumes and get more vintage clothes.

I got the shipping confirmation a little over a week later. That was a month ago. I tried for about a week to get in touch with her, as my dress hadn't made an appearance yet, and it took the threat of me reporting her to Etsy for her to come up with some sob story while promising me a refund and a quick, free shipment of my dress. WAIT, WHAT? She hadn't even shipped my dress yet! When I asked her why she sent me a shipping confirmation without shipping the dress, she stopped responding. I haven't heard from her since. I finally reported her to Etsy, but I probably won't get a refund since she conned me into cancelling my claim. What a terrible thieving goblin of a woman. I hope her business fails.

Was told when this booked that the bouncy house would be picked up the next day which was a Sunday , perfect because I don't want that behemoth sitting on my lawn for longer than 24 hours ! So when I didn't hear from them on Sunday I called and they told me it would be first thing Monday....ok ...not really acceptable but I understand. Now they are 2.5 miles away so when I called at 9:00 am Monday and the owner said they are on the way I say great . I did a couple of errands and came home around 10:15 to find their equipment still on my lawn . I called back and talked to the same "rude " so called 40 year in business owner to ask why it wasn't picked up yet and he went off on a tangent about this being the busiest weekend and 200 other customers and no help , and then went on and asked me if I was one of "those guys " who sat around and watched my lawn all day ! WTF ? Who does this guy think he is ? So .....I had to do a face to face with this arrogant so called business owner . Sure enough....just what I thought....jumped up in my face and proceeded to tell me I'ma "Kenny" .....ya know a male "Karen"....not once but at least five times ! He is a lucky man.... I would not recommend doing business with this man unless you get a written contract for drop off and pick up times . Very unprofessional.

Party City is the BEST !!…read more I recently bought balloons and birthday celebration items and was THRILLED with the not only the variety provided, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The reception of the Party City people to my requests were nothing short of courteous and polite. I left with my purchases with a happy smile on my face as Party City had everything l needed and then some ! My adult daughter and her guests loved her birthday experience. I can't say enough good about Party City. South Burlington is LUCKY to have you for all their party needs. Thank you !
