Er is een kleine lunchkaart met bijzondere tosti's en wij hebben ouderwets lekkere borrelhapjes. In cafe d'Alderliefste is een ruime keuze aan speciaal bieren, 6 van de tap en meer dan 20 op fles. Er worden verschillende zorgvuldig gekozen wereldwijnen geschonken. Daarnaast is er natuurlijk een groot assortiment whiskey's, likeuren en cognacs. Verder bieden we regelmatig livemuziek. On a side note, as a retired US Navy Chief, i noticed immediately that the woman next to us put on her coat, a Navy Peacoat, with her CTI crow on it! The drink had no flavor of pina colada, the alcohol was lacking, and it was more ice than liquid. Both salads were nasty. Aloha one was tart, and the goat cheese was too sweet. So not worth that €34 plus we spent. They may have other stuff that's good, but these 2 salads were garbage. Restaurant had a cool ambiance, and the bathroom was clean.

Anno nu is het een van de oudste herbergen die nog altijd in naam, functie en zelfs op de oorspronkelijke plek bestaat. Uw receptie of feestavond bij het Gulden Vlies? Geen enkel probleem. Feestavonden vinden plaats in onze mooie bovenzalen. Het is mogelijk van 15 tot 120 personen. Het receptie arrangement heeft een tijdsduur van 1,5 uur. Ons feestavond arrangement duurt vier uur. Het Gulden Vlies heeft 3 zalen tot zijn beschikking om uw vergadering/training of andere bijeenkomst te laten plaatsvinden. Alle zalen bevinden zich op de 1e verdieping en zijn alleen te bereiken doormiddel van een trap. Tevens is er een traplift aanwezig. De zalen zijn allen voorzien van airconditioning en er is draadloos internet aanwezig. Hulpmiddelen voor uw bijeenkomst zijn aanwezig of kunnen op aanvraag geregeld worden. Op de 1e en 3e zaterdag van de maand is er live muziek met vrij entree vanaf 22.30 uur. Ook zijn er activiteiten met betrekking tot de Koninginnedag-nacht, Lindengrachtconcerten, Alkmaars Ontzet en verschillende seizoensactiviteiten.
